I snorkel maybe once a year, and never really love it. I tend to do most of my day-to-day breathing through my nose, and when forced to use my mouth I go into a bit of subconscious panic mode that takes a while to wear off and makes the whole snorkel experience less fun and relaxing than it should be. So when I read about full-face masks I was excited to be able to finally snorkel with no issues at all. I read up on the potential safety risks as well, and decided on this model, as one of the few on the market that appears to have been tested for CO2 issues.Upon receiving the mask I tried it on and found it to be easy enough to deal with. I tried it on in my house and found it to be pretty comfortable and breathing to be no issue at all. Later I took it to a pool to give it a better test before going into the ocean and discovered that I had to lock down the straps quite a bit in order to get a waterproof fit. This made it less comfortable -- but not too bad all in all. Visibility, I noticed right away, was amazing, and a huge upgrade from what I'm used to with "traditional" snorkel gear.As I swam around in the pool I started feeling a touch lightheaded and realized that I didn't see any bubbles coming up around me when I breathed out -- which struck me as odd, given that the mask is designed to release air through holes on the bottom.After experimenting a bit I realized what was going on. Although I could breath fine and normally on land, the additional pressure exerted on the outside of the mask by being in water was causing the flaps to not open enough to release the stale air. Eventually I found a solution to this problem: Do not breath normally. Instead, take a fairly large breath, hold it for a bit, and then forcefully exhale. This produces enough counter pressure to open the flaps, releasing the stale air and allowing enough new oxygen to flow in to keep your brain happy.Problem sorted I went on my vacation, went out on a boat, and spent some time in the water snorkeling. I was able to see lots of great stuff thanks to this mask, and I was able to swim more naturally/comfortably and keep my head down for longer than I've ever been able to before. And that's great. But I had to remember to do my "special" breathing pattern the whole time. Occasionally my focus would wander, I'd forget, and I'd feel my head getting foggy. And every time that happened, in the back of my head there would be a little voice telling me "this may not be safe. You're going to suffocate." And that sort of ruined the experience.Plusses after that big negative: No fogging at all. Perfect visibility. No water leakage at all. That was a first for me when snorkeling -- I didn't taste salt water even once.Maybe there's a better solution to the breathing problem. Maybe I just need more practice. Or maybe the tech is simply not there yet. Either way, I can't really recommend this product based on my experience. I really wanted to love it, and I hope that someday I can have a truly amazing snorkel trip. But for now I'm not really sure what I'll do. Part of me wants to try this again, and part of me is afraid. Possible that I did a bit too much research prior to this purchase!

Purchased for my wife to snorkel on our trip to Akumal, Mexico. She is not a water person and doesn’t like the feel of mouthpiece in mouth. So for her ,this was ideal . Once properly adjusted and comfortable for her snorkeling was actually enjoyable for her. Of course she wore snorkeling vest. No problem with leaking or fogging. Snorkel performed just fine as did purge valve of mask. Highly recommend for one uncomfortable holding separate snorkel in mouth. Best to get fitted for mask through a dive shop as they are familiar with sizes and what fits each kind of face shape. I really thought initially a small would fit her. But it turns out , on the advice of dive shop personnel the extra small ( child size) was best fit for her. Note: cannot scuba dive with this mask. Only for snorkeling.

I have tried four different masks. This one was by far the best fit; very comfortable and well designed. Good visibility. One significant problem though, the snorkel is difficult to get on and off and the joint is fragile... Too bad. Had to return it.

I took this mask with me to Belize and had a great experience snorkeling. It offered a panoramic view with none of the leaks that plague other masks. No issues with fogging. So much easier to use than old-style masks with silicone straps.

Bought one for my Bermuda trip, works perfectly. water did not leak in and I can comfortably swim. You can even talk to each other when wearing it.But there is a plastic smell when you first use it.

Bought one for 100.00 at Dicks, and son broke it. Replaced with this. Much more comfortable than original and cheaper

I have an older one which my kids use now and took these to the Florida Keys. These are the best fitting,, and most comfortable facemasks. They're awsome. Follow the sizing chart

I have enjoyed slow laps. I can swim for hours in the pool comfortably for exercise.
