Something about the course unglazed interior does something magical to the food. Foods caramelize (maximizing nutrients and absorbability without any sugar) and flavors blend so fast because of the reaction of the foods with the minerals of the pot.It's like a large authentic pesto bowl. I want to replace all my cookware with these. I can boil water, cook on electric or gas, microwave (but the stovetop is just as fast!) and take it from the cooktop right to the table and then to the refrigerator. To clean I just use water and a scrub brush - the more I use it, the more seasoned it becomes and better the food gets.How did I not know about the benefits of unglazed stoneware until now? It's a gamechanger.

I ordered two, but as you can see from the picture, the lids (lid handles) are two different sizes. I also didn't receive the hot gloves for one of them. The lids are significantly smaller than the pot itself (second picture), and one of my lids have a few chips in them. Very disappointed...

Perfect for me. I love the taste of my food, no chemical reaction that will destroy the nutrients and taste of food. Been using 2 of these for all my small volume of cooking as I am alone. I wish there is much bigger version so I can cook for my friends as well eating at the same time. I recommend this to everyone considering it’s health benefits.

This is a beautifully made dolsot. I used it on a glass top electric range with no problem. The rice got crispy on the bottom and remained fluffy on top. The only thing is that the size is really only good for one person so if you are going to feed two people you should buy two.

I have been wanting a dolsot rice cooker for a long time, but the price has always prevented me from purchasing one; until I found this one. I am not at all disappointed. It is perfect for cooking on my gas burner and since the first seasoning has remained virtually non-stock. This purchase was a perfect balance of quality and value.
