Rugged, practical history in your hand.
I bought this knife for myself, some time back. I really like it. The springs are really strong, however - just be warned. This is especially so on the can opener (tin opener). These knives are notorious for that and this knife is no exception. It arrived quite sharp and in good condition. The can opener works quite well, too, by the way. People see how blunt looking the "edge" of the opener is and doubt its effectiveness, but it really works. I really enjoy owning this knife.

Useful tool
Buying this for nostalgic reason, my old man has this knife issued to him back in the day. Useful when outdoor and around the house too.

Great knife, but a little rough around the edges (so to speak)!
This is a classic. Be prepared, this knife is dense, very heavy for its size. The springs are very, very, very stiff. The copy I received had a nice "snap" when closing of the can opener and a decent one on the marlinspike. The main blade however was very difficult to open and close. You could feel a "grittiness" to it. You had to push it closed the whole way. I cleaned it in warm soapy water and re-oiled it. No improvement. I contacted the seller and they were happy to refund and replace. But since it was fulfilled by Amazon, they handled the return. I will certainly purchase another one with hopes of improved opening and closing of the main blade once the return is completed.

All of these British Army knives are junk. I don't know how else to say it...JUNK and I have all 3. JUNK..

Good knife
Good knife glad I purchased it. Durable and well built. The knife sits flat and is just a little wider then you’d think when closed so be aware of that.
