These watercolor paints are awesome! Very beautiful colors that activate easily when wet. The colors blend easily and flow better than some of my more expensive paints. Honestly, this set is my favorite watercolor set that I own. I have had them for about 2 months and I have done many paintings with them. I find them to be very unique and a nice little addition to my watercolor collection. One of the selling points was the fact that it has a paint chart with the colors names; most inexpensive sets don't bother to do that. The other thing is the actual colors that are included are really nice and very pigmented. I've enjoyed them so much, that I'm sure I will purchase them again when I need to.

The colors are MD yellow, lemon yellow, pale yellow, white, light pink, delicate rose, orange red, orange yellow, crimson red, scarlet, deep rose, rose, light purple, purple, burnt sienna, magenta, cerulean blue, navy blue, sky blue, dark rose, yellow green, Prussian blue, ultramarine blue, royal blue, sap green, green, light green, viridian, brown, red ochre, Hooker’s green, moss green, black, gray, raw sienna, and yellow ochre.Very nice to have an inexpensive set that offers good quality in a number of colors. Since the colors are so close to one another, they may tend to get blended in the set, especially if used by children (which Kingart does suggest). Other than wishing the colors were more widely spaced and wanting a few more brushes, I’m quite satisfied with this beginner watercolor set. The colors are very pleasing and with so many to start with, they can be blended into so many more.But that’s JustMe.

KINGART Set of 36 Watercolor Paint Set.Wonderful set for anyone first starting out with watercolors.Has a good variety of colors to choose from and a brush included though you will want more brushes.Now we have several in our house who are beyond beginners when it comes to painting.I still like to keep some basic supplies on hand though and this one I like because of the ease of use.There are simply times when lugging out the big pallets are too much for a small project I am working on.I am finding this is perfect for some fine tuning or the more delicate pieces we are working on.The colors are easy to clean up when needed.This is overall simply a wonderful set to have on hand and especially if you have any littles thinking they might like to try watercolors. Great way to get them started just hand them a canvas this set and sit down with them to enjoy the day of creating together.

My kids usually love anything KingArt but they complained about the brush that came with this set being bad and about the container being too flimsy making the paints more prone to breakage. The one daughter who is most into watercolors also complained that when she got the paints wet they were grainy, grainier than other watercolors she has had. So many of the colors in this set are so close to another that it seems a litle redundant, part of the art of painting is color mixing. In the end the kids said that was just an okay watercolor set.

I was provided a copy of these paints specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.These 36 color, portable, pan, watercolor set are a beginners set.There are lots of bright colors, and your little angel or older aspiring artist is going to be able to produce brilliantly colored paintings immediately.I love the selection of colors, and the box has a listing of the colors by location in the pan. There is a lot of paint here. I did five paintings with these pans, and there is hardly a dent in any of the paint pots. I imagine that you could paint dozens of pictures using this set if you are reasonable in your use of the paints.A couple of notes ... these are not (and are not advertised as) a professional, paint set. They do not have the transparency or miscibility that you would expect from a professional set.On the other hand, these cost about 10% of what you could expect to pay for the same number of colors at the professional level.The price is right!Beautiful colors, easy to use, no smells, easy to clean up, ... these are nearly perfect beginner watercolors.Well done Kingart!

I have several KINGART sets including the Gallery Series Sketching & Drawing Tools, Set of 74, set of 12 graphite pencils, and the Artist Soft Pastels, Wood Box, Set of 72. One of my New Years resolutions is to take some art classes. I am a beginner, the water color set is quite nice with 24 colors, but difficult for me, the small compact of 36 colors is much easier to work with at home. The set is compact and great for storage in a small place or my travel bag to take on trips. I have a watercolor instructional book to learn and very excited about this set. I just completed one of the assignments! I am very pleased with the price of this set, it’s very affordable as is their other products. I cut out the back of the box and taped it to the top to quickly identify the colors.

This lovely little watercolor palette is much easier to use than the tubes, which can be rather messy and require a separate palette with dips in it to contain the pigments. This terrific starter set comes with lots of colors to simplify the mixing process, which can happen either in a separate palette or on the canvas itself. Adding a very small amount of water, you will get saturated, bright colors, which become lighter and more transparent as you add more water. The brush isn’t amazing, which is to be expected. Can you manage with it? Sort of, but it makes more sense to invest in a couple of decent brushes to get started. Otherwise, this is a very complete set!
