Unbelievably Powerful! Super Fast Boil! Pay attention to wattage (1500W)- [i bought 2 of these, & thought they failed. 1st one shut off & 2nd one wouldn't even light up. Was Really Bummed- until my electrician husband asked if it was plugged into a surge protector (I wasn't at home). Sure enough it was, & had tripped. Once it was reset- they worked like a charm!]- now I'm mindful of what's running before starting a kettle (& repkg'd 1 back up for a gift). Wonderful Kettle & Great Present! (Easier to clean & fill also)

I needed a kettle in a hurry, and I chose this one because it had the quick boil wattage (1500W), and it would ship fast. I wasn't really interested in the pour-through lid. But it turns out that I love the convenience of that lid. My last kettle had a flip lid, which sometimes caused the water to splatter if I accidentally missed my target. This is a piece of cake. And since the lid comes all the way off for cleaning, it is much easier than a flip lid. And I really like the feature that keeps the kettle switch on, even if I take it off the base. When the water is getting close to simmering, I pick up the kettle and use the hot water to preheat my teapot. When I put the kettle back on the base, it continues heating until it boils, and I can pick it up again to pour the boiling water on my tea. I don't have to hit the switch again to keep it heating. But it has an auto shut-off, so if I get distracted and don't notice it's boiling, it will turn off and no risk of boiling dry. This has a nice large capacity, so that's enough water to preheat the teapot and brew a full pot of tea as well. I've only had it for a month, so I haven't seen any of the issues some other reviewers have noticed. Also, I've never had an issue with the handle being too hot to pick up as some have mentioned. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

This kettle is made from borosilicate glass and stainless steel. The tall cylinder shape is very conducive to counter storage as opposed to a fat squat teardrop (more traditional) shape. It saves counter space! This item contains TWO different lids to suit your preference! The easy fill lid works great as advertised for speed and ease while still reducing evaporation. The clear plastic flapper operates for me without issue and without splashing. Good design all around! If the flappy lid isn't for you, it also includes a SECOND lid! See pics. The alternative lid has a push to lock button that remains cool enough even when hot. CLEANING is wonderful with this design. The lids are completely removable. This allows for sink brush use, towel use, etc. without hindrance. Most scale build up can be quickly removed with a quick wipe, with EASE, prolonging the need to decommission it for an extended vinegar soak and rinse maintenance cycle. The hot plate coverage by the heating coil (discernable by scale build up pattern) is better than other models. More heating surface means faster prep time. The only thing that I don't like compared to my previous kettle is the base with cord has grippy rubber feet; I was used to sliding it in and out of a counter spot. This is easily remedied with a few self-adhesive felt pads applied. Overall the only bad thing about this kettle is really just an inconvenience for me. Works great, best design I know of. 👍

Not a huge fan of the lid or edge on the inside of this kettle. Automatic off would be nice. However, the base and kettle are sturdy, easy-to-clean materials that would complement any decor. Quicly heats enough water for two large coffee mugs or four regular-sized cups of tea, even with the lid off. Overall, the size and functionally are a good value for the sale price we paid.

Love the easy-fill lid. Very reliable kettle that heats up fast - have purchsed several of these. I wish that there was a way to order this kettle WITHOUT the second lid, as it's a waste of material to have two and I only use the easy-fill one. This kettle has a blue LED to tell you that it's heating, which is useful and pretty. The kettle is showing some rust on the bottom of the interior after three years of use - haven't found a kettle yet for which this isn't an issue. I think it's just an item that needs to be replaced every 3-5 years (or one where you just need to ignore the rust), and so is not something on which it's worth spending a lot of money. This version is value-filled!

Overall, a solid, simple, perfect water kettle. Quietly and quickly boils water. Easy to clean any water deposits - really easy - which is important to keep it running quietly and quickly. The lid is a really great feature, and the light is good to know when it’s heating at a glance. Lasts years if cared for! For context, we use this for about 5 - 7 liters of boiling water per day, wipe it down once a day, use white vinegar then soapy water to clean it once every week or two (or if it starts getting louder or taking longer to boil).

Being an avid hot tea drinker I love this kettle, heats up quickly and I don’t have to flip the lid to fill it with water. It looks modern and doesn’t take up too much room

The kettle stopped working less than 2 years. At first I thought it broke but somehow if I kept rotating the kettle whiling pressing it down on the kettle base, it would turn on. The process was painful but that lasted for a bit. But now it’s just completely stopped working. Will not recommend at all.

This product performed as expected for about 8 months, then it just stopped working. I contacted the company and they responded quickly but their solutions were extremely poor. Option 1 - as I was an international customer, I would need to pay for shipping out a replacement but the price was almost what I paid for the original. Option 2 - I could have it shipped somewhere in the USA ... I live in Canada and there is this little issue called covid at the moment. Neither is really a good option, if you sell something then you should back it up. How does a kettle stop working after less than a year? My last kettle lasted like 15. Poor quality product and poor quality warranty.

i Have had this kettle for 2 months now and it started smelling very weird, like burning electrical, then the handle was hotter and hotter everyday, until I could not pour the water out of the kettle without an oven mitt, and then it started smoking slightly from the handle. I’m currently dealing with the company and the warranty, they are willing to uphold the warranty which it great, I just hope that I will soon have a working kettle.

I absolutely loved my Ovente glass kettle with the fillable lid! It was so fast (about 6 minutes to boil for water at the full line from cold), handy, safe with the auto-stop feature, and fun to watch. I relied on it. Then after about two months the handle started to get warm, then it got hotter, and finally one morning the kettle just stopped working. We used a volt meter to check it. It's dead. Hopefully the company will uphold the warrantee.
