These fit perfectly. I immediately could feel a difference, as the old shocks was dead. The old ones would not respond when I pushed the shock in. Stupid me I should have purchase the rears as well.

I replace the old shocks today on my 1998 Ford RangerXLT 2.5 eng.The shocks had never been changed out. The old one's were busted. No doubt, thatswhere the clucking sound was coming from. Now my front end feels stable again.

2010 Ford Ranger LTD 4x2 std cab. I was never happy with the original ride. In July of 2012 I replaced all 4 shocks with a (yellow) competitor. I could tell no difference from the OEM shocks that I replaced. In the three years since, the ride has actually gotten worse. I found these Gabriel HD shocks on Amazon and decided once more to do a replacement. The Gabriel shocks made a noticable difference in a more smooth and comfortable ride. Very reasonable price on Amazon with prompt delivery. All in all a very positive experience and improvement

There is nothing to like about these things. My truck began riding so rough it was becoming nauseating. I took it into the shop to have the ball joints replaced and have them figure out why it was riding so bad.They didn't think it was the shocks because they had about 16,000 miles on them but they didn't rule them out. They recommend the Monroe oespectrum on the front at a cost of $375.I bought a set here for $85 and the difference in the ride is unbelievable.The Gabriel's were totally frozen you could not push them in at all and they clearly didn't extended to their normal length.They are just junk.Im ordering the Monroe load adjusting shocks for the rear to replace the the coil over Gabriel's I bought at the same time because I am done with Gabriel shocks.

I needed to change my shocks, but I heard that buying the strut and shock kit could be a bad buy because sometimes they sell you the bearings in the top that go bad, so I just bought the shock. This unit worked well.
