Moose Racing Fiberglass Muffler Packing - --/--

I am running Cobra Speedster Slashcuts on my Yamaha V-Star 1100. These are straight through mufflers and as such are pretty loud though some would say "just right". However, I felt like they could be toned down just a bit with a fiberglass wrap. There is very little room between the baffle and the muffler body so I had to peel the fiberglass back to about half its thickness and wrap and secure it very tightly with stainless steel craft wire. The result was just what I was hoping for - the original full-bodied sound with just a little of the edge removed and no decrease in mileage or performance.

rolling it on the long side, was way to long and not long enough to feel well packed. on the large feels well packed but 2-3 inches too short. KTM 250SXF 2007 stock can. the noise after repack was different, higher pitch. before was lower pitch, sounded nice and quiet. not sure what was in before.

This fiberglass was a complete waste of time. Re wrapped baffles with it, reinstalled into exhaust system. Packing was gone within an HOUR of beginning ride time.What a waste of my time to remove everything, repack the baffles, then reinstall. Time I could have been riding. Thanks for selling a substandard product.Would I get this again? Not if they GAVE it to me.

Used two of these kits to rebuild my D&D mufflers on my Ducati. Trimmed off about two inches of material to make them fit - easy to do. The mufflers are back together and working better than ever. This may not be the densest and quietest foam out there but for my purposes it works just fine.

Used to repack my pipes. Worked like a charm. Smelled really bad.

I packed this into the stinger on a VW Baja with a 1914cc motor. Before packing it was WAY too loud. This mellowed the sound a bit and added a little more back pressure that helps the motor run better.

I thought wrapped it well enough around baffles only to find most of the wrap all at the rear of the pipe/baffle
