Stride Rite Soft Motion Baby and Toddler Girls Jane Mary Jane Shoe

My daughter is 2-1/2 and has had a pair of these shoes every spring/summer since she was 18 months old. Often even going through 2 pairs every year because she loves them so much, she outwears them and they either get super dirty, or just grungy looking.I've never tried cleaning them, as they are such a great price, and a shoe she just loves, that we don't mind buying a new pair when she goes up half a size, or they start looking a little grungy.These shoes are great for park and school play, as the sand doesn't stay bundled at the toes, it just slides right out! The flower designs are adorable. They're perfect for everyday, special occasion (easter,etc) and church!Bottom line: It's a great kids shoe! We keep buying it and will continue to do so until she asks for a different style!

Most reviews that I have seen include complaints about the shoes being too narrow. However, that’s exactly why I tried these for my 19 month old who has very narrow feet. She wears a European 21 (US 5) but I bought a half size larger so she can have them through the spring and possibly early summer. We tried so many different brands, even Robeez who used to fit well and these sandals were the first ones that hugged and supported my daughter’s narrow foot. She has some room in the toe area but the shoes are snug enough and stay on nicely. 5 stars.

What in the world happened to stride rite quality? My daughter got a bad cut from a tiny piece of plastic coming out of the stitching. It got infected and she got cellulitis and took ONE MONTH TO HEAL. I put a piece of mole skin over it because I couldnt return it after being used and I have always loved these sandals for years. They're also not made with the same soft padding. I probably wont purchase next year. Such a shame, if I am spending. $40 on toddler shoes I expect quality!

This is my daughter's 2nd pair of these shoes this summer, only because she outgrew the first ones. The 1st pair are still in great shape after 2 months of hard toddler treatment, but just too small after a growth spurt in recent weeks. This is a durable sandal for my 2.5 year old, who wears them all the time (playground, preschool, etc). They are not made to be water shoes, but given the extra wide sizing they are a better option for my daughter than trying to squeeze her into a water shoe every day. These are her default comfy summer shoes and she wears her water shoes only when in the water. I think she'll wear these well into fall since it's not that cold here in CA. Pros: toe protection (she would have had skinned toes many times by now), durable, easy cleaning (I use a microfiber cloth to wipe them down), extra wide sizing, easy for her to put on. Cons: none that I can think of.I'll order these for her again for as long as they sell it in her size!

Too bad these didn't fit my daughter. My daughter has wide feet like me but they didn't have wide in the style that I wanted for her so I bought her regular. Even though these sandals look widebin the pictures, they're actually not in real life, so if your child has wide feet, then definitely the wide shoes. Will try another pair soon to see it will fit my daughter and will make sure to order her wide shoes. Other than that, the quality is amazing. The sandal is light weight, is made from soft material, but still looks like it gives good support. Would highly recommend to anyone who has kids.

The local Stride Rite stores closed by me, so they're a little hard to find (aside from the actual website, obviously). I didn't have time to wait on their shipping, so ordered through Amazon instead. Same shoe, same price. Great quality, holding up well on a very active newly-walking 12 month old. 4 was too big, so had to exchange for a 3.5. I love that Stride Rite is one of the small few who offer half sizes; I'd rather buy the next half size up more frequently, than have her falling on her face because her shoes are too big. Sandal is casual enough for shorts and a t shirt, but went perfectly with her fancier dresses. Great shoe.

I have loved stride rite shoes because they are one of the few baby/toddler shoes companies that sell extra wide fit so I bought these in extra wide for my daughter since her last pair of stride rite shoes fit so well, however these were much too tight! I am so disappointed because they are so cute and look sturdy but this is no way an extra wide fit. My daughter has wide feet but I went to payless and almost all their sandals fit fine and weren't even the wide fit sandals! If your child has wide feet I wouldn't recommend these for them.

They are very good shoes. I have seen many bad reviews related to the width but for my daughter the M size it is good. Generally speaking, the leather needs some time to soften, so I made her wear them 1-2 hours a day home with socks before using them at daycare. I guess many parents don't know this fact about leather when they make the comments about the narrow sizes. Of course they should be careful if it is M,W of XW, that depends on each toddler's foot shape. It is second day of daycare without socks and we had no problems. She does not wear them all day long because they have a nap time in daycare and then home we take them off, so we did not try them all day long.

Love these shoes for my girl! I didn't understand shoe sizes at all until I got these ones. So my daughter (13 months) hasn't started walking on her own yet therefore I got size 4.5 M US TODDLER so by the time she starts they'll fit. But I have put them on her and they are amazing so far. Great material love the style!

Cute shoes for my 11 month old daughter who is just learning to walk. She does have better stability when wearing shoes compared to being bare foot. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I purchased a size 4W and they fit as expected when compared to another pair of Stride Rite I recently purchased.

Very nice toddles sandals. I love them. Bought this model first time, but I guess we will buy them next years as well. Size is about half-size bigger than other Stride Rite models, but the width is "as expected".
