Is this really blackthorn???
Received order 2 days ago and I'm not impressed. Very, very rough finish, can't really see any of the grain in the handle, handle is pretty rough cut,(angular, not smooth and rounded, tip is down to a point with what looks like cut Cooper tubing crudely nailed in place. One coat of shellac, if that, that wasn't sanded. I'm not even sure this blackthorn wood. I feel i may have been swindled.Seller and manufacturer, feel free to reach out, before I attempt to clean this up on my own.

It’s light in weight, easy to carry and gives greatly improved stability.
I like it for the stability it adds to my walking while being light in weight but still strong. There was a minor flaw in the one I received. The brass tip was slightly loose, I considered returning it or trying repair it as I found that looseness annoying. I didn’t want to take it apart and put in another tack. I tried some self sealing tape which has to be pulled tight to seal to itself and it worked perfectly so I’m definitely keeping it.

READ SELECTIONS FIRST BEFORE ORDERING!
Just coming off surgery for hip replacement I wanted a cane with some style and class. I accidentally purchased the straight handle one and it leaves little surface area for your hand . After a while it starts to get sore. I did not realize there were two selections. I would highly recommend the choice of the angle handle if to need to put much weight on it .

Really too small head to be comfy in my hand
I didn't expect a knob nocker, but this small head makes it truly an accessory stick. If you use it for any support it is uncomfortable. I'm not a big guy 5-10, 160 pounds but my hands are larger. I did expect a heavier stick it being a shillelagh.

Perfect!
I prayed for the perfect stick and I got it! The right height and it has a slight curve in my palm which makes if very comfortable for walking. I was a little disappointed that it didn't have a stabby point on it but I will get over that. LOL The tip is reinforced which is actually very impressive.
