Is This Normal: MORE Girls' Questions

I can’t tell you how much I love this book for my daughter. She reaches for it all the time!! It covers sooooo many topics and is honest, straight forward and real but still very much age appropriate. We have quite a few books from this series but this one seems to be her favorite.

My daughter's questioning almost always started with, "Is it normal if...?" so finding this book was an answer to my prayers. I didn't mind answering my daughter's questions that were often very personal and somewhat uncomfortable for both of us, but I bought it would be helpful for her to have a book that she could read through and also keep as a reference any time she needed to look back through it.She read the book cover to cover quickly and, since reading it, has had very few questions about what is or isn't normal. She seems to be less fearful about the changes that she notices in her body. She has also read The Care and Keeping of You (1), and the combination of the two books has been great. Next year, I will probably buy the 2nd Care and Keeping book.

My son is a single Dad and I live cross county. On my last visit I used this guide along with our discussion. Between the guide and myself it easily helped answer questions my granddaughter had. Great straightforward text with well thought out illustrations. BTW this guide and another by this author/ distributor / came highly recommended by the School’s health instructor. I highly recommend.

This book is fantastic. I brought it for my 10 year old girls who wanted to know more after ‘the talk’ in fifth grade. Well written and appropriate in its approach to the human body. Using proper terminology, but written in an age appropriate tone. Great first resource.

Definitely would recommend this as it will be very helpful to young ladies who aren’t ready to have these conversations but have curiosities. I wasn’t a fan of some of the advice regarding feeling comfortable in your skin but overall I would recommend

This book is a good help aid to teach your child or grandchildren how important it is to take care of their bodies and what is going on with it. I would recommend it.

This is a great book, but my daughter wasn't at all interested in reading it.

I have looked everywhere for a book that explains these body issues, read hundreds of reviews- I finally decided on this book & I am glad I did. I read this entire book before giving it to my 12yr old. I tore out 4 pages. Two on how to insert a tampon & two on eating disorders. There was nothing inappropriate about these pages- this is just what I decided to do. The book is written perfectly, giving brief, but thorough information. I was glad to see some of the subjects - which I believe will help my daughter feel “less alone” in her experiences.
