I have used this for Sheltie puppies and it works great. Make sure that the ear is clean (I use alcohol wipes). I also get rid of excess hair. Even in play, the tape holds. Very, very happy with this product. I use this product to remove the tape (when letting the ear rest). Put a drop on a Q Tip and roll it under the tape. Dissolves the 'glue' on contact and is not harsh. It also has a pleasant orange scent. There is zero pain for the puppy when using it. This tape sticks almost too well. I can only get the adhesive remover to work halfway, which has led to taking some of my Doberman Ear hair with it when I change postings. The great thing about that is that I have split changes from 3 days to almost 2 weeks because it is so comfortable and stays on his ears very well. I'm going to keep using it, and will be getting another dobe puppy in 2 months that I will use this too. Monster adhesive ability, less posting changes.

I’ve tried lukotape, but found it to be too elastic to properly keep a hold. The Japanese tape is definitely my favorite. If anyone is struggling to get the tape to stay it is because the tape needs an additional glue added. Doc Barners clear grooming adhesive, Torbot, or 3M adhesive are worth a try.

Didn’t like adheviness

This tape is terrible. There was nothing, NO instructions written in english. I went ahead and tried it and then it would not come off. My poor babies ears were red and sore. PLEASE do not put you pet through this.

I use it to tape my border collie’s ears to be tipped as he matures. It is sticky and easy to work with. Lasts on my rambunctious puppy for a couple weeks before it either gets gross or comes loose. Much better than other tapes we’ve tried.

Product works fantastic been using it for many years. I have collies' and have always use this tape for the Collies ears and I've had no problems. You have to make sure that the ear is very clean and you will I have no problems keeping the tape in for two-plus weeks. I change my tape every two weeks and have very little problem with the tape sticking.

As a breeder this is the only tape I will use on my pups ears. Stays in place and does not harm the ears. Great to use to tip Sheltie puppy ears.

I was looking forward to the so called ear tapes. After receiving the tape I was able to read the writing on the packaging better. Its really just regular medical tape......no where on the package that says ear tape for dogs. The tape isnt super sticky so yes its good for using as an ear tape and not irritate the skin. If you can find tape from pharmacy that is not very very sticky - thats all you need for doing sheltie ears.....no need to spend $40 - 50 on 2 tapes......I am feeling deceived :(

FYI-this tape can NOT be tore by hand. It is more like medical tape that you buy at the drug store.
