Great for keyboard players
Finally, an anthology with some of the original piano parts written out, instead of the usual chords with melody nonsense! For example, Aladdin Sane provides enough supporting piano notation that I have started playing it with my band, but the piano solo is not provided. Changes writes out the full piano part. On other songs, some of the staff notation was played by guitar on the original recording, which might also help out guitar players who can read sheet music. Of course, the guitar chord tabs are provided.

It's great!
I truly enjoyed this book. The songs were easy to understand how to play. I'm really happy about owning this book because I play guitar and it's great to be able to play David Bowie songs.

Not Quite What I Was Looking For
David Bowie is a brilliant genius with brilliant music, but this book does not quite follow in his footsteps. While it includes many good songs, the singles included just are not his best songs. But that's not my real complaint. My real complaint is that it is only notated and not in tablature. Many people have trouble reading a book that has no tablature, and ( i can read music, but tab much faster) many are delayed by having to turn one into the other. Also the piano, guitar 1, guitar 2, etc. parts are not well enough defined. I wish that they would make an effort a more extensive collection of this legend, but also that they would please do a tablature version. I know i would certainly buy it, being a collector and all. I'm not saying don't buy it, just beware before you do that it's not in tablature.

Sucks
This book is extremely general. It’s doesn’t tell you how to REALLY play the song. It’s has music notation for the vocal with chord shapes written above it. It’s doesn’t show you how to play a riff; it doesn’t tell you how to play a solo. If you wanna song the song with some very basic chord accompaniment, cool. If you want more...looks like you’ll be figuring it out by ear. Basically sucks.

Great. Learn to play your favourite Bowies. It has a selection slightly beyond just the obvious, e.g. Sorrow. He does look a bit like Julian Clary taking the mickey out of Bowie in the cover pic though.
S**!
