great planner for busy college students
I am a professional student who is just starting out in Pharmacy School and this planner is a LIFE SAVER. Trying to balance 5-6 different classes, students organization meetings, and the like can get crazy and this planner is just what I needed. I especially like the notes section in the back, it allows me to have everything in one place. The hour by hour layout of the week is perfect with my busy schedule and the to-do list on the left is awesome. Highly recommend.

Though I initially thought some of the non-calendar content was a bit gimmicky and too much like it was made for a beginner salesman (the first 16 pages are motivational anecdotes and tips about about how to be more organized and more productive), I really like the layout of the weekly appointment calendar. The week is has equally sized columns for Monday through Sunday, from 7am though 8pm. That is perfect for me because I work on Sundays, and the usual 1/2 to 1/3 column for Sunday without hour markings is not useful to me. Also, there are sections for listing "Tasks to execute" like phone calls, emails, etc, "Goals/projects I am going to work on this week" for the bigger tasks that need to get done, and a section (less helpful to me so far) for tasks to delegate to other people to do--though I'm sure I can come up with a way to use this feature well too.I also enjoy the book binding for the cover over a spiral bound cover. It feels more substantial to me, and is easier to write in than something more flimsy. The bookmarks are a nice touch, though I don't see the need for two. There are elastic straps to hold the book closed and to carry a pen/pencil as well. All in all, I am much more pleased with this appointment book than with the previous one I had by a much more recognizable name. This organizer feels well constructed, is attractively laid out inside, and has a helpful layout to the appointment pages.

Book binding? What was I thinking?
First let me say that I really like the contents of this planner. I have used it for years and have always enjoyed it and found it immensely helpful throughout the school year. However, this year I decided to get the book binding version as opposed to the spiral rings, what the heck was I thinking?!? I know what I was thinking, it looked prettier and more professional. This does not work well for me and although I may be able to break it in and loosen up the binding eventually, this does not lay on a desktop and allow for one-handed usage. As it stands, I have to work the pages down to write and that takes up time when trying to work. Maybe just nitpicking here but it's a thing. I'll report back if anything changes.*EDIT - Okay, I've been using this for a year now and I have changed my mind. The bookbinding did break in nicely and I have enjoyed it. It took a while, but it did look nicer, no two ways about it.

Plenty of useful space and organizational features!
Great planner!! I just became a manager at my job and I'm super bad about forgetting things if I don't write them down so I knew I was going to need something more than just a calendar. Granted, I don't need the "yearly goals" and all that motivational stuff but that's totally fine with me. I'm sure some people would find that helpful to them. This planner allows me to keep track of meetings I may have and even has a task/project area where I can write down who I've delegated tasks to, etc. The cover is sturdy and looks like it won't wear down easily. I also like that this isn't a spiral notebook so no wires getting bent out of shape. Large enough to be able to jot down plenty of notes and everything I need. It also has a large address book section towards the back where I can keep info on people we work with from other companies. Haven't tried the pocket in the back but I may not use that, not sure yet. This will definitely go with me to work every day! Couldn't be happier!

My Action Day Planner my Life Source
I have had probably 100 planners over my 60 years in business and work....and I really love this Action Day Planner, because I am able to write tasks completed, to be accomplished and attach notes in there for future reference....I have already purchased my next July to June Action Day Planner and ready to begin using it next week....Sincerely,Carolann in SE Florida

Tried a larger size this year
I really like this planner. I bought one last year, the smaller size (6x8) in turquoise. This year I tried out the larger size (7x9) and it works out well, giving me just a little more room to write. The paper is thinner than last year's, which annoyed me at first, but once I started writing in it, I didn't notice it. The sections are handy, but I could do without the "projects/delegated to" section-- I have no one to delegate to, so it seemed like a waste of space. Other than that, I like it to keep me organized.

Not my expectation
Calendar was not what I expected, I just purchase another one at Staples as the monthly section was too small I could not write my monthly schedule in it to see my visits for the month. In addition the weekly section was not what I expected. It is just a busy calendar for a very busy person. I cover 5 counties as an administrator and this is just too much complexities to manage. In addition each page is not conducive to day to day or week to week planning and the space is not enough. I tried to give it to several of my staff and they refused it as they thought it was just too complex. In the end it is sitting on my college son home desk waiting for his return hoping he will take it.

Best calendar
I am so happy with his calendar. I've been using calendars for 25 years and this is the first year I've tried this one in particular. It has a short section at the front for goalsetting and time saving ideas. Pretty cool and unexpected! This is also one of the best efficiency manuals I've ever seen. It has an elastic band that keeps it together which I love. It is black and sleek and fits into my book bag well. The pages are thick and the sections are divided well. There are two pages to a week and I see everything upfront. It allows me to plan out my life on a daily weekly and monthly basis. There's also a section at the cover that allows for yearly planning. This is for sure one of the best, if not the best, calendars I have ever used and I plan on getting another one next year.

June-June, not full academic year.
I bought one of these for the first time when starting a new job in January. The format is the best I've ever used... For me. However was perplexed, when planning events for the end of the summer term that this one ends in June. American term dates? So I've needed to get the next one to finish this year. Beware as I had to return the teal colour as it is a smaller size, somewhere between A5 and A4; this was not clear from the description. The price is high... Too high in comparison to competitors. I paid it as it is working for me, despite the irritating end date.... I will keep looking for cheaper alternatives.

Design fault shock horror!
Agh, just received my 2017-18 action day planner and I'm so disappointed it isn't spiral bound any more!! I though it would at least be bound so it would lay flat but it doesn't, why would someone in the marketing or design department ever think it was better to remove that feature. Shame on you, especially when it's so expensive for a diary! Please explain why you think this is better..

Excellent planner
This is going to change my life! It is well laid out and the paper is very good quality, nice to write on with a fountain pen and it feels like it's built to last. Even though the diary part doesn't start until next month I have already used it to plan various tasks I have to schedule during the year, right up until next summer. So much more than a diary, I know I'm going to enjoy using it - and enjoy being on top of things throughout the whole year. I'm glad I opted for the larger size.

On the plus side it's a good size and colour and the structure nearly works
Solid attempt. On the plus side it's a good size and colour and the structure nearly works. On the downside, the inside covers don't lie flush and the daily diary section is problematic as hours only run from 7am to 8pm and the spaces are too small to write in. An option with a horizontal weekly grid and open, unallocated boxes would be more useful. Unfortunately, this doesn't really work for me so I'm reverting to the Mum's office planner and will use some of the columns to add delegation task and goals.

Worth the money
I find organising myself quite tricky sometimes - I have dyspraxia and rely on information being very visual. I’ve found this diary to be great, especially the section on every page for weekly tasks. I also like the way each day is sectioned in to hours. Paper is decent - fountain pen doesn’t bleed through much. The elastic closure and pocket at the back make it easy to carry around loose paper if required. The diary itself is robust and still looking great after being schlepped to and from uni for several months.Definitely worth the money!

Good, but Action Day have better alternatives
I fell in love with Action Day’s system a couple of years ago and have used them ever since, with great effect on my procrastination tendencies. I get way more important stuff done!I’ve always had the ringbound version, but this year the only ring bound version was a tiny 6x8 inch, so I tried this larger threadbound one & got the cheaper clearance one - so if I didn’t get on with it, I wouldn’t have to put up with it for a whole year.Hmm. It doesn’t lay flat open easily and it doesn’t have the super useful pocket at the back. I already miss the ability to open it at the right page and stand and write in it without leaning on anything. It’s still better than other planners due to the page layout and Action Day “rocks in a bucket” system, but I’ll be going back to ringbound in summer.

Not just for academics...
The planner is an "Academic" planner, but I also found it very practical for managing my side business. This way my small college drug cartel is now a blooming enterprise and I will not become a burden to society when I graduate because I will not be weighed down by debt and instead will be looking forward to be a structured and contributing member of the public - yay!

Bit more than I need but for what I do need, it's top quality
Personally I don't use the attitude, goals and actions sections. But the week to two page diary with task lists and action deadlines etc. are very good. So too the notes section at the back, where Action Day don't skimp on the number of blank pages they give you. Excellent product, third year in a row I've bought it.

Brilliant diary for busy people
This is the third year I have had this diary, it has a space for everything, a great all rounder. I have gone for the smaller one this year - more compact with all the great features.

Great Diary
I don't usually spend this much on a diary but I'm glad I did. The paper is much thicker quality than cheaper diaries and it comes with a pen loop and bookmark. It has a week view across 2 pages with ability to record meetings, tasks / todos along with projects and goals. The first few pages gives information on goal setting and how to focus and the rear of the diary has note pages.

Excellent diary. Perfect size for keeping notes, calendar dates, and space for 'to do' projects.
Quality is lovely, good paper to write on, hard back cover seems to survive a year without looking tatty. Plenty of pages to write notes, big enough for work and social diary. Sections to work on bigger projects - all round the best diary I have bought.

Good but still a little bit dissabpointed
Good:The format is nicely laid out, which is easy to organise your week.A lot of space to include information that is useful for the tasks involved. The non-pure white paper makes it pleasant to look at.Bad:The months only go until June 2019, I am doing a masters that run through the summer, which means I have to print out the July and August 2019 so I can put other deadlines in.The last page that shows the whole year of 2019 was glued to the hardcover at the back, which is unnecessary and it created an uneven surface to write on.Also, the pen holder was glued to the back as well, which came off with not a lot force with less than a week of using it.

Good layout
Nice diary, good layout, plenty of space. I love the space for 'to do' lists...half my life centres around TO DO! but I hate touching it, the cover feels so eeew makes me cringe. Its kind of a rough weird texture....but I hate the feel of velvet, so judge for yourself i guess

Favourite Planner.
The best planner diary I have come across. Had the next size down last year and this size makes it that bit easier to fit things in. This one is an improvement on last years as the writing and lines are darker and easier to see.
