Seriously.. The best diet I have ever done.

I have been dieting since high school. You name it I have done it! weight watchers, atkins, south beach, jenny craig, keto, paleo and Whole 30. I always yo yo and struggle by the 2nd day. I always have a hard time committing to it and by the 5th day I end up doing 1/2 of it or find a way of incorporating it into my lifestyle but not committing to the entire thing. Now at age 47 I feel so relieved to have found something that I can do easily and something that's not so expensive. I am only on day 5 and I have lost 4lbs already. Which is huge for a female my age. The last diet I was on I lost 2lbs in the first week and gave up and gained back 5.Reasons I LOVE this diet so far:1. he explains the method to his madness and makes complete sense. I was so scared about not working out because I usually work out hard! CrossFit and peloton in one day! Well, the lockdown made it easier for me to not do my crossfit. Everything he says about over doing it makes sense and so true. From personal experience I know this.2. Wow! This diet doesn't break the bank! All those specialty items I would buy was always so expensive. Keto this, paleo that and bullet proof oil in my coffee was is enough to question your life choices during these hard times. You're eating healthy and not breaking the bank. Win, win.3. by far super easy to do! I already read the entire book and even though I am starting phase two. I can tell all the recipes for the meals will be easy for me. If you're use to meal prepping this diet will be a breeze. I mean you throw everything in a blender and call it a day! How hard is that?!4. I am never hungry and my sugar cravings have completely stopped. I was worried because I have done liquid diets before and they are tough to do. But these smoothies keep me soooooo full until the next meal. I make pizza for my kids and crave my smoothie instead. Its not hard to stay on this at all for me?? The snacks you are allowed to have in the first phase are the secret I think to staying committed. It being only 5 days until you start incorporating meals makes it easier as well.5. The smoothies are SO good?! I never was a big smoothie lover. I never followed any recipes and always just did my own or followed some pinterest recipes but I usually drank them to save time or to try to add more protein in my diet via protein powder. His recipes are delicious!6. My stomach issues and leaky gut have stopped? I was a big fan of elimination diets because I always thought that my stomach pains, issues came from legumes, dairy and grains. Well this diet kind of proves that wrong. My stomach seems to be fine so far. I'm thinking certain food combinations make a big difference of how you react to it.I'll have to do more research on that.So the only thing I had issues with this diet is the amount of dairy you have. I never ate yogurt or dairy. I mean... I was big into Paleo. So I love greek yogurt now and I drink non dairy milk instead. Which seems to be agreeing with me for some reason.I'll have to update this when I am in phase 3. I can honestly say that I am super excited about this diet! Or lifestyle change. My goal is to loose 20lbs.4lbs down and 16 to go.Update 28 days after starting: So I am still on and havn't veered off except for a couple of days. I am down 7lbs. I have not been dilligent with the workouts so I am beyond happy loosing this much in a month considering my age(47) and being a female. Its tough the older I get. Really, the best thing about this lifestyle change is that I don't feel hungry and I don't feel like I am depriving myself. Still by far the easiest "diet" I have ever done. I am confident that I will reach my goal. 7 down, 13 to go!

Blown away by my results (so far)

No excuses. But I did pack on 20+ during covid quarantine and 'home schooling' my 4 kids for close to a year. And spent all of 2021 trying to loose it. I had reached my goal weight in 2019 and was devastated and beyond frustrated to find myself almost back to where I started when my youngest was born (6 years ago!).. like HOW did this happen !!??I tried all my normal tricks.. cutting back on carbs, signed up for weight watchers, pulled out myfitness-pal and even went so far as ordering a food sensitivity test ( and actually came back as NO strongly reactive foods. WTH). Over a year I lost and gained the same 5lbs ! And Jan. 2022 arrived.. and I REALLY kicked into high gear. Heavy workouts, 16.000 steps, every damn bite put in my mouth was tracked. Over the span of 3 months.. I ONLY MANAGED TO LOSE 5 LBS !!! 5 lbs, from jan 1 -april 1 ! The brain ghosts started telling me maybe im pre-menopausal (Im about to turn 40), maybe something is just WRONG with me, do I need to see a Dr, a nutritionist, be on meds..??And one day harley pasternaks name popped up in my feed. I remember seeing him on khloe kardashian revenge body, and listening to him on some podcasts. Well everything else is going to f-ing shit right now.. so lets see what we can do with some smoothies. Found some his smoothie recipes online and started my body reset before the book even arrived the next day. Eyed trough the entire book over spring break and here we are..I am ONLY on day 5, and have lost 6 (!) pounds.. after it taking me 3 months to loose the initial 5 ! I did a quick calculation on MFP and I've been consuming an average of 1250-1350 calories / day in smoothies and snacks.. not must below the calories I've been hitting over the last year (1200-1500). It FINALLY feels like Im getting somewhere and am hopeful I'll finally fit into my summer clothes again (and have people stop looking at me like they want to ask if im pregnant again 😑).Can't wait to give an update when my full 15 days are up.- the smoothies are delicious and instructions are basic and easy to follow. You don't need to drink the smoothies from the book to a T. You can switch out the ingredients and come up with your own fav. flavors.-The 4 S's stand for STIR FRYS, SANDWICHES, SCRAMBLES and SOUP. And this is pretty much all we eat as it is, so looking forward to some solid meals.- When you hit day 15 and get to 'the rest of your life' you are supposed to stay with 1 smoothie, 2 crunchy snacks, 2 solid meals AND 2 weekly 'free meals' (a treat , eating out.. pretty much a cheat-meal).update. When I added solid foods back in I gained 1-2lbs (prob water weight) and I'm now trying to figure out the sweetspot for keep loosing weight while incorporating smoothies and my normal workout routine.
