101 Songwriting Wrongs and How to Right Them: How to Craft and Sell Your Songs (101 Things) Paperback – October 30, 2007

I have not finished reading this book yet, but from what I have read, I found this book to be very informative & enjoyable in its approach. Each chapter is short enough to make it easy to read, yet long enough to get its point across. Although I'm a member of a songwriter's group and have read other books on the subject & attended seminars, I've already learned new approaches to the craft of songwriting by studying this book. I believe that anyone, whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned writer, will find this book useful in your ambitions of being a hit songwriter.

I've read about a dozen different books about songwriting, being a fledgling trying to fly in this musical realm. This was the most entertaining to read AND it gave great tips for everything from writing lyrics to the business end of publishing, etc. There were also some excellent exercises to try for the writing process that I found very helpful. Highly recommend this book!

This is a great book for those that are afraid of written music--most all of the suggestions are verbal and easy to understand. I use this book as a text when teaching young song writers, and the tips are to the point and helps keep the young creator focused on what is important.

I recommend it to all songwriters. It heads you in the right direction for writing songs that you intend to pitch, and an understanding of the process. You may not, in the end, want to write that way but knowledge is good. It's worth the price.

If you're serious about songwriting you owe it to yourself to pick up this book. It's an easy read in a conversational style, and pretty much every chapter in here had at least one piece of advice I could use (and usually more).

Great book. Very insightful. I found it helpful. I'd recommend taking simple notes to look back on as you're writing.

This is full of info, it's really helped me alot about songwrting and the music business which I had no clue of. Thanks. Would have liked if the title of each chapter had included keywords as to the topic discussed but I think I can use the search feature. Will use it for reference. And the writing is delightful.

Phew, this is a MUST for any songwriter. So well written, a pleasure to read, well organized, covers every subject, question, and skill you want to understand and need to know to create impactful songs. They know what they are doing, and they wrote a text that imparts all their knowledge.Read it, write in it, highlight lines, mark it, keep it with you whenever you write.A+

Very disappointed. The book itself is good with lots of useful stuff in it. I made a mistake and ordered it twice and then tried to return one of the books. I have so far emailed three times to ask how to return it - asking for the return label etc. However I have not even had a reply to these return requests. It feels like I'm being ignored.
