Exactly what I needed

These are the same straps purchased for our company-sponsored class, and highly recommended by our instructor. They seem like pretty indestructible straps if they are used in yoga studios in so many places! I originally got another brand in 6'. After using these in class, I found I needed the little bit extra length of the 8'. Also, the other brand had a metal end cover--which initially I thought "oh it's so sturdy!" until I pulled to loosen and that metal cap cracked me in the head! And that metal tip seemed to keep hitting me every time I tried to rearrange the strap! Bad karma there. I purchased the metal D-ring version but also used the plastic buckle in class--both are real nice and very easy to use. I can't remember my reasoning for buying the metal D-rings when I had that incident with the other metal object, but I haven't hurt myself with this strap at all! I think someone else recommended the metal versus plastic since plastic can break faster than metal? I dunno. I don't pick one over the other in class though, and this is for home use only. In a nutshell, it is very tightly woven cotton, sturdy but soft to the touch. Great for reclining big toe pose (aka strap around foot and hold leg in air by strap). If in doubt, go with the 8' length so you don't try something new and think "if only I'd gotten the longer one!" Hugger Mugger products seem to be the industry standard for good reason.

PERFECT for stretching, that's all I can say! The canvas material is nice and sturdy and the rest of the strap is constructed very well. The metal rings also hold up nicely during different stretching exercises, however they can be a little dangerous when they swing around or hit you when you're not paying attention to the strap.

I use this strap for exercising my legs and arms. It is very sturdy.

I just started doing yoga classes (1 month ago), I go 7 evenings a week.One class we used the straps, and as great as they were to use them I didn't like the idea of using the same strap that I am sure numerous sweaty hands, and other body parts had touched before hand.I highly doubt they wash those things.I digress, the ones we used in class did not have the D-ring and I found it to be uncomfortable, and awkward to use.I am pretty tall, 5'11" with long legs (38" inseam) and this strap is long enough to still be used comfortably.The D-ring makes a world of difference compared to the clunky plastic end that I used in class.I only bought one of these to see if I liked it.I do, I love it.it is a must have!Will be buying another one here shortly.It is great quality and I love the colour combination too.Super happy with this purchase

This is a great strap. I use it for those poses where I am just not as bendy as I would like. I wanted a natural cotton strap and this one fit the bill quite well. I went with the larger 8' size to accommodate just about any pose that could come up. This one has them all covered. I often used the strap doubled, since it's usually much more length than I need, which actually gives me a little extra support... and I like it. The metal D-ring is also very stable and secure, not that I find myself needing to use it that often. I would definitely buy this again when the one I have wears out, but since it is quite well made, it may be quite a while before that need arises. This one definitely gets my recommendation. No matter your size or pose, I believe it will have you covered.

This is an extra long yoga strap which is great for us plus-sized yogis. Can sometimes be a little too long but better longer than shorter! Great quality too!
