Fantastic - SetUp/FutureProof/SoundQuality/Connectivity
I bought this instead of the Q80 or Q90 as my room had no space for additional speakers so Dolby atmos was a must for me and the upward firing speakers work very well to create the surround effect. Set up was easy with Bluetooth from my tv and later connecting my tv and sound bar to the app on my phone meant I had remote control over each and could set ‘Home’ style animations. I may get some additional speakers and will update this review with results if I do but as far as I can tell it will be a pain free addition. Sound quality is great and easy to change quickly. The sound bar itself seems a little odd at first but that is only because of all the additional energy you are now hearing from certain frequencies so it may take a few hours to adjust but once you have you’ll realise what a great purchase this is. The sub isn’t quite large enough for trouser flapping bass but for all your cinematic bass booms, rises and drops, weapon fire, explosions, collisions you’ll be more than satisfied. Engine noise, bass and music are all great through the sub too, adding the extra frequencies to a dedicated speaker makes a world of difference. WiFi, Bluetooth, Optical, AUX and HDMI make this even better as connectivity is so easy. I leave mine on WiFi mode so I can remotely turn my system on when I come home, swap to Spotify and have it show up in my devices list and just as easily swap back to tv when I’m settled down in bed. For the best experience at 36bit you should use HDMI though. This will also work to fix any latency problems if you encounter them (unlikely) as it now supports AV syncing. After experiencing this system I will be purchasing the new 8k tv with the Q90R for my living room in the new year as the difference of a 3.1.2 atmos system is fantastic enough already but a dedicated 7.1.2 system would be top of the line.

Wow!
Best sound I have had from any system to date. Fairly easy to set up and connect Sky Q to HDMI In and out via the HDMI ARC to TV. Connecting to the internet is a bit more tricky - requires the SmartThings app and a bit of patience to get this done! Sound quality and output is fantastic. Only draw back it does highlight how rubbish some of the sound engineering is on some channels and on many TV series i.e. inconsistent sound levels within a programme, overly loud music, inconsistent sound levels on the same channel and how rubbish the sound is on SD programmes. The system automatically detects Dolby Atmos and will indicate this on the front screen. All in all an excellent pairing with my Samsung QE49Q70R (2019) QLED HDR 1000 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 49" with TVPlus/Freesat HD & Apple TV App, Slate Black.

so so bass - superbly easy setup, needs the content, amazing build
this was a warehouse deal so i presume a return from someone, and aside from the generic brown box, you would not know it. still wrapped in plastic, still got the little twisty's on the cables, instruction manual still wrapped. could be brand new. who knows. i know people say that arc should work over any hdmi cable, but a cheapo one i purchased from asda, kept on giving me a "unsupported arc device" error. switching to an expensive thick one from amazon, i got an "atmos enabled device connected" success message...so in my experience, not all hdmi cables are the same. once i got that done, i used the "smart things" app on my phone and after identifying the device, naming it, pairing the sub and connecting the wifi it was working in literally less than 5 minutes. so so so easy. now this may differ from tv to tv, but when i go into the audio settings, i get the option for adaptive, surround and standard sound mode. use surround and adaptive and i can't tell the difference other than on one or two things, so i imagine it comes down to your source. the sound quality is really good all round, going from a sony hxf9000 which was shockingly bad, this with the extra drive units makes a huge difference, but then you pay a lot more so it's the old formula you get what you pay for. this next bit might be about personal preference, but the bass is generally quite low and even with it on maximum on 6 in the settings, it's just not that great - i wish it would be much higher and i don't know how best to make it any higher. all in all this is a brilliant sound bar and paired with a samsung tv i cannot recommend it enough from the setup, the quality, the interface just everything. easily the best in it's price range. oh and MEASURE YOUR SPACE! this is one long sound bar so i like many i guess didn't measure but was surprised by just how long it is. also, a really nice touch is that it comes with brackets and fixings and all else you need to wall mount it or even elevate it off the ground a little. finally, the remote is super nice and weighted and instead of usual volume up and down buttons, it has like a rocker switch which is really cool.

Fantastic sound!
This is my first sound bar even though I am a bit of a techie. I must say I got this for a very good price. So for me good value for money. The set up was fairly easy connected my LG TV and PS4 and the sound is amazing. When I connected Dolby Atmos enabled content the sound was super immersive the bass is fantastic. So far it seems the sound is contained in the living room. So hopefully the neighbours can sleep easy. All in all great buy very happy.

Great sound for TV not so much for some classical music
I bought this soundbar as I had lost my old wired high fi system due to a renovation and wanted a high end soundbar to replace it so I could stream wirelessly. I read the revieews that this sound bar was very good for music as well as TV. The sound from TV is first class and much better than the sound bar it replaced and streaming is good too apart from chorale music. But this sound bar can't cope with loud high notes in choral music (sounds very disorted even when using adaptive mode) and as I like a lot of this type of music it is somewhat of a disappointment for a high end and expensive soundbar. I would have expected better for the price. Maybe I would have been better off with the Sonos.
