Ford Shop Manual Series 2000 3000 & 4000 < 1975 (I & T Shopservice)

I bought this manual for a 1968 Ford 3000 diesel, 8-speed forward transmission (hi-lo range) tractor that I recently bought to replace a '73 Massey Ferguson gas tractor. This manual covers a lot of ground, since it is on the three-cylinder Ford 2000 and 3000 tractors, which are quite similar in most ways, from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s, and also the four-cylinder Ford 4000 tractors. Because it has to cover so much -- three and four-cylinder engines, gas and diesel, a variety of transmissions, power and manual steering, several different PTO and hydraulic systems, etc. -- sometimes you'd like a little more detailed information, but overall this is a good shop manual for the Ford 2000, 3000 and 4000 series tractors. I also was able to download an Owners Manual for this Ford tractor series in pdf at no charge, but I'm looking for a better Owners Manual, ideally just for the 3000.

Definitely a helper

I have the complete shop manual on pdf and I think it has like 1400 pages or whatever. Super hard to find anything. THIS book needs no electricity and is always ready to go in the field or shop. It has all the pertinent information...bing bam boom done!

Purchased a Ford 3000 that did not come with manuals. A quick search of the internet provided me with this manual. Have only flipped through it so far, but I can see how it will be a huge help when the time comes to dig into a problem. ( I hope I never need to use it.) It has a lot of pictures, great plus for novices like me. I would recommend the manual to anyone looking for a good shop manual for this series of Ford tractor.

Although this manual assumes fairly experienced knowledge of the tractor in question, it is very useful in providing diagrams and specific guidance for maintenance on same. Somewhat 'un-coordinated' in relationship to 'integrated' components but for an experienced mechanic is a good technical guide. Could be more intensive in 'specifics' of what has ato be 'removed' to even access the components being service, as well as connecting verbage with illustrations.

As a new owner of a Ford 3000 I knew I'd need a decent repair manual. This is it. Everything you need to maintain and repair your Ford tractor is contained in this manual. Gas and Diesel engines covered including the important method to bleed your fuel system on the diesel. If you don't do it right you will be left cranking the starter until the end of time! All fluid capacities (and types) are also noted.

This manual is great but I wish it showed the part numbers with the detailed drawings. I use this with the CNH website to determine correct parts. I would buy other shop manuals for other equipment that I own.

Great value for the money I have found these more expensive elsewhere. Highly recommend if this is what you need for your tractor.
