Just what I was looking for to educate a child.

Bought this globe for my grandsons to learn with. It is okay but it came partially assembled with some pieces thrown in the box. Had to rip off the felt on the bottom to screw and secure the base and then reassembled the entire globe adding the piece they did not attach. It works well enough, but without the felt it hasscratched the tabletop.

Mount is very nice and solid but it isn't attached to globe. It's only spring fit in the mount and the screws that hold it aren't even threaded into the decorative washers on top and bottom. Mine arrived hanging out of mount which easily damaged the plastic map coating. Map is thin laminate over stiff plastic globe. Map is also attached at equator with a decorative sticker that also wasn't attached well. Cheaply made except mount which isn't attached well at all. Contacted company through Amazon 2 weeks ago before I decided to write this,,, no response.

Sheerness... there is a discrepancy in the written description and picture. I went with the written description of deluxe blue ocean with black base and received the pictured version; so disappointing.

The countries have to shape. The edges are rounded.
