Just like the original -i think.
I never had the original remote, but according to the pictures in the user manual, it is the same layout as the original, and works the same. Very reasonable price.

It has a few buttons that are labeled a little differently from my original remote but everything seems to work as designed.

Works Fine For What I Wanted
I have a VSX-520 receiver and the remote was starting to get flakey. I figured I would take a chance with this. I basically needed on/off, master volume up and down, bass and treble, input select, stereo, and that is about it. All these functions work perfectly. I am glad I made the purchase.

Great remote in the dark.
Man I have been waiting for this remote. It does a great job with a lot more functionality, making it faster to get around. The ability to just move the remote and the buttons light up is a great feature but the only reason why it did not get a five star is the batteries that it came, with which are fully charged, only lasted one month. So Amazon why not have one that is USB C rechargeable.

Not all buttons function
This controls all the basic functions for my receiver but some of the buttons I rarely or never use don't work. You can confirm this by looking at the emitter through your smartphone camera. I gave it five stars anyway because it does what I need and was only 10 bucks.

Pioneer VSX-520, works GREAT
Works perfectly with my Pioneer VSX-520. Feels a little lighter than the original but works well months later with absolutely no complaints.

A great purchase - works better than the original
I bought this to replace the original Pioneer remote which would only work if you positioned it directly in front the the receiver,about 5 or 6 inches away. This replacement works as you'd expect any OEM remote to work.
