The sides roll up and the front rolls down. You can leave the cover on, with or without the sides or front rolled away. It is a very versatile cover.

Looing for a cover to have to use at various courses when needed. Is this cover pretty universal to work with many carts?

I have one of the first Yamaha G1 golf carts. This cover works pretty good for me. There is a gap on both sides down by the front wheels, not an issue for me. The top part of the cover hangs a little low due to the height of my roof, I put a foam tube (used for swimming) on top of the roof to raise the cover a few inches. I mainly use this cover to keep the weather off of the cart since it is stored outside but it works great to keep the wind and rain off of you when using the cart. I have used other universal covers, so far this cover has worked the best for me.
