O'NEILLUV Sun Protection Women's Basic Skins Long-Sleeve Rashguard Top

My husband and I took surf lessons in Cancun a few years ago and I bought a rash guard of a different name brand with half sleeves (just above the elbow). The whole time I found myself wishing I had bought a long sleeved one instead. When you're paddling, the place where your arm meets the board is where a majority of the friction occurs and with the salt water is got to be torture after an hour or so. If you are searching for a rash guard for the purposes of surfing, I cannot recommend buying long sleeves enough!! My husband and I are going surfing again in Hawaii next month and I didn't want a repeat of Mexico so I bought this. First I was very pleased to find that the medium actually fit me really well! In the other name brand I had to send back two and size WAY up before I got one that fit, and even then it was pretty tight. I am small chested with a long torso, broad shoulders, hourglass waist and disproportionately large hips. I normally wear size medium in tops so I was very pleased to find that this was true to size and extremely comfortable! It's also long enough in the arms and torso which is something I struggle with in tops in general. The quality is very good and it looks cool on. I used it last weekend while white water rafting the snake river and it was perfect! It dries very fast and isn't too hot even though it's black and long sleeved and I find this one doesn't roll up at the bottom on me like my other one did. I highly recommend for outdoor adventure women!

Love this rash guard but know that it runs small! It does not have a ton of stretch so make sure you order a size up...if you like a little looser you may want to order two sizes up. I like my rash guards snug so I went up to a large from a medium. This is made very well and is comfortable and flattering.

I'll just start by saying that there is nothing wrong with this rashguard at all, I just didn't love how tight it was. Yes, it's supposed to be tight... but this was uncomfortable, I cant imagine being active in this thing.So, I ordered a medium. I'm 5'6", 140lbs, athletic-ish build so, I have a big ol ribcage and (in my opinion) broad shoulders. I'm also a 34D which doesn't help my big cage or broad shoulders. Anywho, after reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a shot. I'm not disappointed at all, the material is nice, and its SPF 50 (bonus).Now, here is what I did. I also purchased the men's version of this in a small, and I am so thankful that I did so I have something to compare this to. As you can see from the photos, the women's version is smaller, but not by much. The waist is about the same, but the chest is slightly larger, the arms are longer, the torso is longer, AND it has a small collar that comes up a little. I LOVE ALL OF THOSE THINGS! For someone like me that wants a tight fight, but doesn't want to sacrifice comfort... this is the route to go.So, in summary... if you're worried about torso length, arm length, or it you have a little bit of larger chest/ribcage... do what I did and go buy the men's version.

Love the color - pink. So people want to know how this fits. I'm 5'9. 150 lbs. 30 inch waist and I wear a size 10. I ordered an XL. It is tight. Not so tight I'm going to return, but there is nothing extra about the shirt. I have a long john wet suit I'm going to wear under it and I'm pretty certain you are going to see every line because right now you see everything else. I don't think you want loose in a rash guard because it defeats the purpose. If anything this shirt will force me to get rid of the 5lbs I need to lose! Otherwise the sizing charts I have found for this product aren't exactly correct. I think XL was supposed to fit a size 12-14. Not even close. Still love the color and style; I'll just have to get used to skin tight.1/6/13 Just an update to my review. I wore this pretty much every day in Belize on an 8 day trip and I loved it. I actually wore it under the long john wet suit and it kept me warm, but not too warm. I see now why the shirt needs to be tight. It did not slow me down in the water like loose fitting shirts did with other people. Really my only complaint would be I didn't buy enough of these! It also prevented me from sun burning and I didn't have to put on sunscreen on my arms, which I'm allergic to.

My wife is 5'10 140 lbs. She usually wears size medium women's shirts (which are often more fitted than the usual mens/unisex medium) and they tend to fit slightly loose on her. Understanding that we are purchasing a rash guard which are designed to be close fitting, we ordered both a medium and a large with plans to keep whichever was the best fit. Well, jokes on us because we're sending both sizes back.The medium was so tight that my wife could barely get it on and we were afraid that some seam was going to tear in the process. It just looked ridiculous. So she tried on the large, which was still skin tight and fit how we were expecting the medium to fit. But even the large is really too tight and compresses in all the wrong places. She said it really was uncomfortable and was unflattering.Both the medium and large are being returned and we'll try the x-large and see how that fits. Although it definitely didn't do my wife's ego any favors by making her order an x-large when she usually wears a medium. The material otherwise is well made and looks durable. The color is nice and bright and the sleeve and body length (of the size large) was reasonable and long enough. There was just not enough room to move around or breath without feeling restricted.

I ordered a small, which fit perfectly as I am petite. Nice and snug. After a year of swimming about twice a week, it has gotten loose in the wrist area and doesn't feel comfortable swimming in it anymore. Time to buy a new one!

It’s a little tight for me but still very comfortable to wear. I normally wear small, but I’ll chose a medium for my next one to make easier taking the shirt off. Great sun protection and good quality.

Fit perfectly - true to size. It didn’t stretch out when wet and dries quickly.

I love this top and have been wearing it in the pool on the super strong sun days we have been having this summer when it has been 36 degrees etc. It doesn't raise up or float about so you can wear it doing laps etc and its still somehow ok to get on and off. And it is not too hot.My only problem is it doesn't have additional support or padding like the old speedo tankinis did that I used to run and swim in, and there is not enough room to wear something underneath. While its dry this is not so bad, but when its wet, it just looks like I have blue skin, everything is visible (without being see through). I mean, I'm lucky and sporty enough to look great that way, but it's not something I want to share with strangers on the beach. So I dunno, just think about what you want it for before you buy it.
