Complete Garbage.
Right out of the box this sub worked once for testing. I boxed it up and built a custom box. Installed it and it's dead after about 3 songs. No, I wasn't pushing it too hard either, I built a custom box, used air specs for the sub and it died almost immediately.

They look good and sound good
They are awesome, they both look good and sound good. If you are thinking about getting thease, you can't go wrong they are duak voice coil so you can go 2, 4, or 8 ohm and Ive tryed them at all three and they handle very well.

Great sub woofer for the price.
Currently running ~325 watts RMS to this sub woofer @ 2ohms and I am very happy with the sound it produces. I was a little worried about the Pyle brand name but this sub woofer was in my price range and it has turned out to be a really pleasant surprise! I have this sub woofer in a ported enclosure with around .75 cubic ft. and not only does it really hit the low notes, you can really feel the bass in my 2002 Subaru Impreza, I am very happy with the frequency response it is currently getting. I have gone through many sub woofers and car audio systems in the past and I would definitely say if you want to add clear, low bass to your car this sub woofer is a great option.

Adequate
Let’s just start this review out with the acknowledgement that at $40 I knew exactly what I was buying. Pyle of today is not the Pyle Industries of Indiana USA I knew in the 1980s, ‘course a dual-wound 10” polypropylene woofer ‘Pyle Driver’ actually cost MORE than this latest one in the ’80s. Let’s start with the pros and then lead to the cons. Pros 1. Very inexpensive. 2. Visually looks decent. 3. Adequate natural resonance. Cons 1. Very lightly constructed, the chrome basket is plastic, NOT steel, it flexes quite a bit. Tighten the speaker enclosure screws as if you were working on a carburettor so as to not warp the rim of the basket and badly tweak the voice coil clearance. 2. The terminals are made of a very light gauge metal with meagre springs, they rattle. 3. The injection moulded speaker cone isn’t actually polypropylene. The polypropylene ‘cone’ is glued atop a fairly stout and thick _paper_ cone. It is also not ANYWHERE near as metallic-looking as the example photo. 4. The vented pole has a strong metal perforated vent with holes, buuutt they are too small, it whistles. 5 The general fit and finish are exactly as one would expect. Observations This is a sloppily made speaker and this extends into the included printed materials. The box itself shows both 1000w and 1200w rating. The printed sheet boasts “Blg Rubber” and “Bule Chrome” typos. The blue nonstructural plastic décor on the back even when tight also rattles, removing it shows how shoddy the threads and fasteners are. So, where does this leave things? There are no superlatives. For the price, it’s not great, but it also isn’t a $1,000+ Sundown Audio NS-10. There are better designed and assembled budget subwoofers out there for nearly the same cost. Look elsewhere.

Sucked.
I bought these a while back and they sucked it was a waste of money. I had them for a week and they blew out with an amp that was actually weaker on each channel than the sub woofers them self. I was disappointed wouldn't recommend them. I had another pair of Pyles too and they also lacked in sound quality and performance and I was tired of going with cheap system that blue out so I went with two JL audio W0V2 subwoofers and now those are what you call subwoofers yea there $120 a piece and I also bought a box and amp to go with it. The system ran me up $620 but it was well worth the money compared to the $300 dollars I had wasted on Pyle systems that kept blowing out and cheap boxes that kept falling apart. Let me just say save your money and buy something thats gonna last even if it cost more because its worth it and its better to go with quality over quantity than quantity over quality.

TRUST ME I FITTED THIS 10"WOOFER SPEAKER UNIT INTO A CANADIAN PARADIGM BASS BOX WHICH HAD AN ACTIVE 500:WATT AMP INSIDE IT; HOOKED UP TO A ALTO: FX: 122: MIXER THE BASS WAS INSANE FROM THIS PYLE 10"WOOFER; AFTER ADJUSTING THE FREQUENCIES I COULD NOT COMPREHEND IN MY AMAZEMENT THE PURE BASS QUALITY IN THE ROOM; OK THIS IS MENT FOR A CAR BOOT BUT AM I GLAD I USED THIS AS A REPLREPLACEMENT TO MY ORIGINAL WOOFER I DAMAGED; PLUS THIS WOOFER IS INDESTRUCTIBLE; LOOKS LIKE THIS WOOFER CAN HANDLE AN EARTHQUAKE; HURRICANE;TORNADOES.... NEED I SAY MORE PEOPLE********; HOOKED UP TO MY 1000:WATT SOUND SYSTEM AT HOME; THE BASS IS CRAZY GOOD; & I CAN MANIPULATE MY SUB WOOFER FREQUENCIES AT A MERE DIAL IN & OUT JUST WICKED MAN ....

Broke the sub in at 20% volume for an entire week while I was away at work. Had a bass sweep on loop that covered the entire frequency response of this sub. Got home and went to test it out on my 188 W RMS amplifier. Turned it up to 3/4 volume and zero distortion. For about 10 minutes. Then one coil let loose and it was blown. Very poor quality.
