CBTL Premium Espresso Capsules for Caffitaly Brewers, By The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, 10-Count Pods

As close to real Italian espresso as you can get in a pod. The cream is thick beautiful and delicious. A bit pricy. But if you want a great espresso it’s worth it.

This is very good coffee. It is better than the one named "Italian Espresso". CBTL has several others I also like and buy regularly. CBTL is a good brand.

There are many outstanding chefs, resorts and restaurants in the world, so I was at once pleased and taken aback. This info is not about my ego, but for my crews and to establish the credibility of this rating only. In the duration of my 35 years have trained more than 400 waiters, baristas - and even motivated busboys intent on remaining in the business - in use of all types of commercial espresso equipment. Mistakes or poor results were, of course, not tolerated. Flavor of CBTL pods is acceptable; I use darkest espresso coffee ONLY. Depth of that elusive espresso flavor IS present, and I live at altitude. CBTL machine is superior to its better known and much more expensive counterpart, as it produces enough back pressure to extract this flavor. Also, this flavor is stronger in the cup than that of that large chain coffeehouse. Convenient, but produces slightly less than demi-tasse quantity in volume for adequate flavor. Price per pod seems high, but contains approximately 1.75 to 1.9 TBSP fine ground coffee per pod. Zero evidence of grounds in your cup, never produces a redolent sign of a cheap espresso machine. Price value consideration of unit is 4.5*, convenience 5.0*, flavor 3.5* of possible five, respectively. Appearance is clean, countertop footprint is handled nicely. I would like to see an expanded selection of tea. Even if you are a dedicated espresso purist, this coffee is nice to have for a quick jolt. Amazon is timely, cost effective and, as usual, accurate. Only problem - in my State of residence - is that tax brings price per serving a bit high, as I will normally use two pods per serving - two is not a must, I just like mine very strong. Smooth cup of coffee. Great product

I purchased the Starbucks Verismo machine and these CBTL cups fit in that machine perfectly. This coffee tastes better than the Starbucks and is much cheaper. I buy several varieties of CBTL and really enjoy this product. One suggestion to maximize the flavor of your coffee is to use distilled water..it makes a big difference! Also, at he risk of sounding like a coffee snob...I am a bit picky about my coffee and like it best in a heated, porcelain cup . I really like the rim of the cup to be very thin for easy sipping and curved out just slightly. Give me a little piece of good chocolate with my coffee and I am all set for a few moments of bliss.

I bought the CBTL Americana machine from a shopping network for really really cheap. I then had to find the coffee pods and try them all etc. I like my coffee strong, so this one (expresso) and the Italian (expresso) are my favorites. Also, I won't typically make larger than 4 ounces so that it will be strong enough. 8 ounces is okay sometimes and maybe for many people. For this reason, this coffee machine is turning out to be VERY expensive because of the large amount of coffee I use. For now, while I can afford it, I'm enjoying it. I LOVE the machine and enjoy the coffee.

DO NOT BUY 1st attempt. No coffee flow. Used knife to widen the bottom hole. Still no coffee. Then capsule would not eject. After multiple attempts - almost ready to use pliers - it finally ejected. 2nd attempt. No coffee flow, and the capsule burst. See pic. Note small cuts on bottom where coffee “should” flow from. Return not an option, Amazon does not return food items, apparently. Did get a full refund after call with customer support. Yea!!!

The best espresso flavor of any I have tried. ❤ I have been drinking Americano from these CBTL pods for years and absolutely LOVE the flavor. IMO it tastes better than the Keurig pods. Good value as well highly recommended! I usually purchase in the 16 count package but for some reason the unit price was less with 10 count.
