Zen Paperback – June 1, 2011

A decent 1950's science fiction short story with an interesting twist at the end. Alien life comes with big surprises.

This should definitely be reevaluated and somehow prevented from showing up in the Zen/Tao/Bhuddist/etc searches.Besides that it actually it a rather good short story. It's only a few pages long, and tells the story of a ship's crew exploring other worlds and planets, actually only one planet but others are implied. I personally would have liked more explanation on things happening, but as short sci-fi stories go this is a good one.

A research team lands on the asteroid, Vesta. An interesting discovery awaits them. They have a chance to change the future of Vesta. This story was entertaining, but I didn't feel "drawn in". My favorite stories are those that "tug my hand" and "draw me in", those that allow me to "listen in" on the conversation, and "observe the action" from the side line.

This is a nice little story, as someone already said, in a classic vein. Based upon the author and style I'd guess it is quite a few decades old. Unlike some others, I saw right away why the title is Zen and think it fits. I won't spoil it by sharing that.

very nice classic style science fiction. good story. well developed characters for length of story. wish i knew when it was published so i could make a guess if ship name lucky pierre was reference to tom lehrer song.

Very clever way of saying be careful what you wish for. We of the last century wish desperately for interplanetary travel, but even trying to help other intelligent beings could have dire consequences. Be careful out there.

Despite the book not being what I thought it was about, it was actually a pretty decent, albeit short read. It's a Sci-fi story about an encounter with the last of an alien species.
