What size would work for a tall, slender four and a half year old boy? In some brands he still wears 3T shorts.

We love these shorts. They’re very forgiving. My son is the opposite. He’s 3.5 wearing 7/8 or even 8/10.. I suggest trying the 5/6 or 6/7 in these for your 4.5 years old. You really can’t go wrong. They were a little big on him when we first got them but he was still able to ware them and had room to grow into them.

Awesome! Definitely order up

All the underwear I ordered my toddler was so tight and hard for him to pull down so he was really struggling with potty training. Based on previous reviews, I ordered up (he's between 3t-4t and I ordered 5t). They fit perfect! Just the slightest bit loose on him which makes it really easy for him to pull down. He's also not big on wearing pants right now so these are perfect as little shorts 😂 will be ordering more
