Ol' Faithful
I have had this thing since January of 2020, and it still works like it is brand new. This thing has been all over the place, in mud, snow, rain, heat, you name it, and it is still kicking. Still holds a charge well, is still bright, and shows no signs of quitting. Part of me wants to buy a new one just in case they discontinue this beast. My only literal complaint is that I wish it were USB-C, but it is a small price the pay. The thing is small enough that you will forget it is there, takes a beating, and performs great. Cannot recommend this enough.

Great little light
Great light, I tested it at night with the car lights off, i can actually drive at 40km/h at night with its light and see where I am going ( wont drive far, but it emits enough light to see where you are going)update 4months later:WHY anybody would design a torch with a light that goes out after 30seconds IS BEYOND MY LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION , now I have to do a internet search again to figure out the sequence of how to turn the 30 second darkness feature offff, I hope there will be a firmware update to change the ridiculously short 30 second Darkness feature to something like 1 minute or turn it OFF FOREVER / REMOVE the ridiculous feature, Imagine buying a light that turns off by itself, after importing it to my country the cost is equivalent to buying a Drill or something, and I choose to buy a torch smaller than a car key that turns off the moment you start to get busy, and then you have to search the internet again how to make it stay on till you turn it off, because I wont be storing that info in my brain or keep the instruction manual with me 24 / 7 …Another thing is the duration you have to keep the switch pressed in to turn it on.. why so long If I want light , I want it now, so I have to resort to Turbo mode which is sometimes way to bright.Another feature is the lowest light setting, who is supposed to use that, the light may just as well be OFF..Please release a firmware update.Update 2,5 years later, the battery packed up ( I Think / it died), So I thought im going to go bigger and brighter and bought a T4K, now THERE is a bundle of frustration if you ever had one ( the T4K), You always have to fiddle through the modes to get to the correct lummen setting, and you would sit in your chair, or at the desk, and then you would realize .. now my leg is getting really hot, and then the thing mysteriously turned ON, because the buttons pressed against your car keys or something, and the T4k is a 4000lumen flashlight ( it is really bright) , but that is 400 lumen with the switch depressed, the brightest lumen setting is 200 lumen, imagine that, you buy a 4000 lumen flashlight, and the brightest setting is 200 lumen, there is no 500lumen / 1000 lumen or 1500 lumen setting... the max is setting is 200 lumen :)))) and if you press the turbo button you get 4000 lumens for a few seconds :((( , needless to say I ordered another tip2 to replace this one, because the frustration levels is just so much lower, will have to find someone that wants a used T4KAlthough it might not sound like it, I do recommend this light, and suggest you use it with the plastic ( is it a belt/ hat clip) to avoid accidentally pressing the power button

Nifty, convenient, Bright 🌞
Very bright, seems to have good battery life, love the Keychain & clipSo... I bought this for work, I work overnight at a grocery store, yeah there is lighting, but they save energy when closed, so the lights dim down a whole lot for my whole shift.... that's where the light comes in handy!I keep it clipped to my hip till I need itThen I clip it to the bill of my hat when I'm using it, to brighten areas our dimmed lights don't really shineI use it in short bursts of 4~5min at a time throughout my 8hr shift, then charge when I get homeI actually like the size and brightness 🔆The magnetic feature is very nice, clips to the Keychain part vary strongly 💪 and I can have something metal hold the light for me and have free handsI don't understand how to see/read how much battery life is left though

Great EDC flashlight, but takes a long time to turn on.
The media could not be loaded. Although this is a bright light, I find I get impatient with waiting for it to turn on. You have to hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds for it to turn on. Most times, this isn't a problem, but sometimes, when you drop a screw or something and it is rolling away, it is an eternity. I know it is designed that way to avoid accidentally turning it on, but I am not worried about that because I keep it set to turn off in 30 seconds. Most times, that's all I need it on for. If I need longer, I turn it back on or switch modes. If the turn-on delay doesn't bother you, I would definitely recommend the light. If it would bother you, I suggest the TIP SE version of the light. I have several and love that light. I thought this might be an upgrade so I bought one. I'll go back to the TIP SE. I've purchased quite a few of those and they work great. I gave some away to friends and family, which is why I bought so many.

A Very Nice Little Keychain Flashlight
The Nitecore TIP 2 keychain flashlight makes a great portable pocket mini light to keep with you at all times. It runs for a very long time on the lower brightness settings and gets very bright on the full output of 720 lumens though you will take a hit on battery life.

Best keychain light overall.
The Tip2 does not have a lockout feature, nor does it need one. The buttons are recessed, on the side of the body, and are even more protected if the plastic clup is attached. I tried another Nitecore keychain light, the Tini2, but that one kept going on in my pocket and would have to be carried on lockout. I also tried a rectangular Fenix light and it also had to be locked out.The Tip2 body is milled from a block, not stamped from sheet metal. It does not flex in the pocket. It takes about 1 second for the light to turn on when holding the power button. But if you need light instantly hold in the mode button for instant turbo light. My only nit is the lack of USB C charging. As always from Nitecore , the stated brightness and runtime are accurate. Overall I am very impressed with the Tip2 and bought a second one for my other keyring.

very bright, good battery life for size
I was a happy user of the tube and the original TIP, but this thing is a whole new level of cool. the magnetic retention of the butt cap is fantastic, and the light works well as a headlamp when used with the included clip and a ballcap. the 200 lumen setting is more than adequate, and at 90 minutes run-time, is pretty sporty. The 720 lumen turbo setting is a bit silly, but if you really need to blind someone, it's cool to have. :)All in all, it's a great light at a great price point. If you need a good keychain light, buy it.
