This clock has an elegant look and the chimes are very soothing- not like some of the tinny sounding chimes . 10/10 would purchase again.

Kinda hard to setup initially, but after fumbling around, finally got it done. The hourly chime doesnt sound cheap and teenie, it sounds like a full-size grandfather clock! The finish is excellent and is good accent on top of our fireplace

Very distinguished old time looking clock looks grand on my mantle and keeps perfect time. I do not use the chime feature even though it has one. Great piece for anyone’s home.

Very nice looking, looks like the real deal. Chimes are horrible so we just turn them off. But I would still buy it again.

While I'm sure this clock is accurate, as most battery/quartz movements are, I would only recommend this purchase if it were about 2/3 less costly. This Made in China clock is extremely chintzy and should cost about $30.00! Behind the somewhat acceptable wooden "cabinet", is a cheap quartz movement that you would find in a $7.99 Walmart special. The electronic chime is so cheap sounding (like a child's toy), that I have opted to leave it turned off to keep from getting embarrassed from any visitors. Also, in the poorly translated instructions, it says to use "carbon-zine batteries".....what??? I think they mean carbon-zinc, which are the lowest of quality and were common about 40 yrs ago. If you are foolish enough to buy this, please use alkaline batteries. I do not recommend this overpriced junk.

The clock looks nice, works correctly, and the chimes sound okay, but the clock was definitely used. It had 2 drained Energizer batteries in the chime box. That and the missing instructions tell me it was used. It took me a while to figure out how to reset the chimes to the correct time since instructions can't be found on the Internet.

This really is a beautiful clock and the chimes sound really nice too! I am very impressed with the customer care and how I was helped to make a small adjustment to fix a problem with the chimes! All works perfectly now and the clock keeps good time too! I’m happy I made this purchase!
