VALTERRA A04-0448 White Cap/Saddle for Adjustable Hose Carrier

My RV has one of the Valterra hose carriers and the door at the end of the carrier got damaged when the RV bottomed out on a sand bank while boondocking, so this replacement was very welcome. The old damaged door was glued onto the carrier so I unscrewed the connection to the bumper and cut the carrier off at the joint. That allowed me to just slide this on and I secured it to the carrier with a couple of small bolts so if I needed to replace it again I would not have to cut off more of the carrier.One thing to mention is that this unit is actually 2 pieces - the end piece with the door and a short piece of plastic pipe, and unless you remove the plastic pipe piece this will not slide onto the carrier itself.The fit is perfect and replacing the old door took only a couple of minutes. This is a great way to fix your carrier if the end is damaged and it is a bargain because you don't have to replace the entire carrier.

Recently purchased a smaller travel trailer and needed to store rod items on top of trailer and came across these covers. Like other comments in reviews, can not fit pvc 4 inch sewer and drain pipe. This is the small modification I did to have the cover fit for my use. Purchased the cheaper pipe and not sure how long it will last in sun light, but applied a rubber adhesive on flanged end of pipe and then glued the cap on the end. After glue sets up, will cut the pipe down to the length needed and apply a coat of paint.My best likes is that I can lock this cap and be able to access items I will be storing in them lot cheaper then the metal covers.

Like many others have said, this fit right on my existing sewer hose storage cap. Gently slipped it on and pushed in the lower peg with a small screwdriver. Easy peasy. The pegs are a little thicker on this one so hopefully, it won't break as easily as the original.

Perfectly fit the PVC pipe the previous owner installed under the RV. When I bought it used the cap was missing without me realizing, so the sewer hose slid out and I ran over it mashing it up real good. So some $ later I got a new hose and this cap. Installed it by drilling a hole and putting the shortest bolt I could find thru this and the PVC to hold it in place, in lieu of using rubber cement or whatever they normally use. Would be nice if they included a slip of paper saying the best way to install wouldn't it?

I noticed one day that my grey tank hose was gone, and the hose storage lid/door was also gone. Vandal or thousand miles of driving? Anyways, this was really easy to use to scavange for parts. I only needed the door/latch, so I unpopped it from the brand new one from Amazon, and connected it to my RV, and it worked perfectly. Didn't have to unscrew anything.

We needed a new cap to fit the pvc pipe we’ve retrofitted our travel trailer with to carry our sewer hose . This cap is a heavy gage plastic that we expect will hold up wonderfully.

Easy install to replace lost end cap with better version.
