Elsa Schiaparelli led a super interesting life! The way she tells her story is so captivating and with just the right amount of details. Surprisingly, she does not talk a lot about her designing life but she focusing on things that she feels have to be told. She was an awesome person!

Unlike most of the rich and famous Scap led an interesting life. Probably because work wasn't her entire life. She was smart to shut her shop when she did. Always ahead. Good book if you're into fashion history.

I really enjoyed this book. It took a bit to get used to her writing style but worth the effort. She was fascinating and so are/were her Granddaughters. She surprised me by her "service" during WW2 and lots of interesting and sometimes sad bits. Example: One of her Granddaughter was killed on 9/11 aboard one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center. As a francophile I may have been more inclined to enjoy her love of France and talking about Paris. If you too love them then you will enjoy this book. Not an easy read and one must know a bit about history from that era, but I recommend it to those interested.

un libro che ti permette di viaggiare con la mitica Elsa..sapere che faceva...cosa pensava... cosa ha fatto...è un orgoglio della nostra italia vissuta all'estero...ha rivoluzionato la moda..peccato se ne parli poco...!
