Gel Tabz Universal Silicon Grip

I had bought versions of these thumb tabs a couple of years ago and really liked they way they enhanced my thumb grip. They were easy to put on so they were easy to fall off which they did during vigorous gaming. Eventually they all were worn out and I couldn't find them at all until I found these at amazon. These suckers are harder to put on but damn, they stay put. The material is more durable but the grip is not as good. Raising the thumb up just enough so it gives me the grip I like.I am willing to trade grip and easy installation for durability and not having them fall off in the middle of gaming.Hint to install: Turn the gel tabz completely inside out, place on top of the thumb stick with one finger holding down the middle. With your other finger, pull the thin sides down. Kinda like a very short tight condom. Which is what my wife calls them. My gaming condoms. I have bought 5 packs so far and none of them have worn out.

I have used these for a few years now. It's makes the sticks a little more comfortable but why I like them is because they take the rounded tops on the PS3 controler and make them flatter, helping to keep my thumbs from sliding off. I also feel like I have more precision control of the sticks. They do start to fall off after using them for a month or so, but considering that these are wear items, I didn't let that affect my rating.

Great if you're a hardcore gamer and/or you get a little "too much" into a game. I got these because I would had to do a quick reaction and almost bust my thumbs. They helped that however it did still happen once in awhile. But they do work flawlessly almost 90% of the time.

Problem #1: After I got the tabz on by xbox360 controller I discovered that the rubber on the bottom of the tabs would rub against the controller causing a lot of friction. Imagine that you were playing a first person shotter and turned the stick sensitivity all the way down to one. that's what it was like. keep in mind that this was a 360 controller. this may not be an issue with other controllers. I don't remember what I paid for this product but I am confidant in saying that I overpaid for these little pieces of rubber that don't make a difference in your gaming at all.

The gel material is really comfortable. The only problem is during heavy action when they come right off the thumb sticks. I guess you could glue them on to alleviate the problem, but I would think this would have been addressed during development. I'd love to use them, but stopping for a half second during a heated hockey game or MW2 match to remove the curled up gel tab is not acceptable. They're currently collecting dust.

I bought these just to pad my order to get free shipping and have been very pleasantly surprised. I play a LOT of Xbox 360 and the surface of the sticks always get worn smooth so I buy another controller. I have tons of controllers now. I popped these on a controller and it was better than new. I like the extra length they provide. They also give a nice grippy feel. As was mentioned earlier, some people suggested attaching them with a little super glue. I feel this is not needed. I put mine on and have definitely put them to the test and they haven't moved in the slightest.I definitely recommend these and will be buying a ton more for all my other controllers.

On an unaltered PS3 controller, the joystick pads inevitably will start splitting and/or coming unglued, making the entire controller difficult if not impossible to continue using. The GelTabz can help with this problem, either as a replacement for the old pads, or as a protective covering for new joysticks. When I bought my latest new controller, I immediately popped a set of GelTabz onto the brand new joysticks for this reason, and they are working great! It makes the joysticks feel better, and also prevents the splitting / ungluing problem from occurring. Also, if you have an old controller with bad joystick pads, you can remove the old pads and put these onto the posts instead... HOWEVER, you'll either need to glue them down, or do what I do: cover the posts with "moleskin" first, then put the GelTabz on over it. ("Moleskin" is available in the foot care section of the drugstore.) Otherwise, the GelTabz will be too loose and won't stay on.

Works great. My bunny chewed my Xbox 360 controller's anolog sticks, so I got these to put on them. They fit very well and don't come off easily. They are very grippy, you can certainly move the anolog stick faster and as I said it's more grippy.No problems with it, except the hard to open package.So if you want your anolog stick on your controller to be more grippy or it was damaged, this can help you. There is also one for the Wii, if you need it.
