Very nice knife set!!!

I got this for my husband for chirstmas, he loves to cook and he was looking for a nice set of knives. He really liked this set. they look really nice, it comes with 22 pieces including the sharpener. They are very nice and not that heavy. In the instructions they recommend to do not use the dishaswer so we are washing them by hand. As a little tip I will recommend that when you was them dry them upside down since some water gets in the handle. The base spins it is a nice little feature when you are cooking. My husband is happy witht his purchase and me too. SIX YEAR UPDATE. We still love the set. Some knives got a little rusted but you can't even tell. Im lazy so now I do place them in the dishwasher lol. Very happy with the set

I purchased the Oster Eckert as a gift to my son who really needed a knife set. He cannot stop telling me about the quality of the set and how thankful he is about the brand,

The block and knives look great and are comfortable to hold. The problem is the knives are poorly constructed. The tang is not full and is prone to rust with normal handwashing. The knives also do not keep an edge very well and require far more regular sharpening than other brands. If it is a beginner knife set or one that will be rarely used or is mainly for display purposes, it is fine. But for daily use, choose something different.
