I don't mind a flat pack and see it as a bit of a puzzle but my word this has a lot of pieces. Once you get on your way to figuring it out it does come together but give yourself a couple of hours, be patient and the end result is great. Is made of good quality wood with a nice finish. I bought it to match my other bedroom furniture which is the Mexican wood bought from various places and it fits in well.

I ordered 2 of these units and they arrived on time. Assembling the first one was a doddle, I was really pleased how it went together. The second unit was an utter nightmare! One of the side panels was bowed and another didn't even have the hole drilled out. Dowels and holes didn't match, and those chinese screws, I don't know what it is but I have several screwdrivers, drill bits etc and couldn't find a bit to properly fit the screws heads? They looked cheap and nasty. After much fettling and re-drilling the holes and wondering if the side panel would straighten out when the drawer runners were fitted, it did (phew!!) It took a lot longer than the first and I wondered if whoever packed this or cut/drilled the pieces out was having as bad day? Can't blame the retailer he can't be expected to check each box, but someone at the manufacturers need to know. Gave them a 4 star because of this, shame really because they are worth the money and really nice drawers.

Another Mercers Furniture product that I absolutely adore! They’re relatively easy to assemble if you’re handy with DIY. It took me around 3 hours to assemble them both but that included the time it took to glue the panels and dowels (an extra step not mentioned in the instructions but well worth the time) Each panel is solid pine, no chipboard or MDF, even the backing and drawer bottoms are wood. It’s an amazing quality piece for the price and the two of them together fit the space extremely well. The drawers are a little on the smaller side compared to a standard set of drawers but having purchased two i knew this wouldn’t be an issue. I’d 100% recommend these & if buying them, go that extra mile and wood glue the panels.

Once you put together its sturdy and well built instructions are amazingly helpful wouldnt change this for anything

I.e. me. Hellishly difficult if you are not good at relatively simple DIY. A competent person with the right equipment will have no problems, as indicated by other reviewers. Good instructions but time consuming. Fortunately I have a very practical grandson with lots of tools. A screwdriver would take ages so he used a controllable battery powered model. Still took an afternoon. Partly because he had to disassemble my disastrous efforts 🤔. Not fabulous quality but reasonably priced, provides good storage, and looks very pleasing in situ.

NOT all pinewood. back of unit and draw bottoms, other. flimsy construction make it woberly; I suspect it will not last. number of screws makes an electric drill mandatory, if you want to avoid elbow and arm damage. Draws- no dovetailing OR markings for screws (got good eyesight? to be able to align pieces). Draws are more flimsy than the base unit. Looks nice from the front, but that's all you get. For the price, it should have been better made and easier to put together.
