Hero Air 235 Flying Dog Sport Disc (Red)

I purchased a number of different brands of disc's. This one was the all-around best performer. It isn't the most durable, but is softer, lighter and hangs in the air better for me. I use them for toss and fetch and have done well with this disc. I do keep an eye on them after we play. Since they are soft, they are susceptible to getting rough edges from a strong bite. I examine them after we play and sand down any rough edges I find. Doing this only takes a few minutes, but allows me to keep the discs for a years. I buy a bunch, and cycle through them - buying a few more each year.

I wish it was more durable, it is exactly like a dollar store frisby. I switched to Nerf those things are awesome. Maybe I should I have read the description better.

These are good discs. They fly really nice and they won't cut your dog's mouth. They are fun to throw and my dog really enjoys them. They don't last very long, but there are no competition grade discs that do.I don't know how much a disc costs to make or anything like that, but I just feel like for how short they last, they should be cheaper. It's just a plastic disc, so why the cost? I would stock up so I could always have them on hand, but they're too pricey for that.Overall, these are great discs and very nice to throw, but I personally don't feel that the price is justified.

if you're just getting into the sport of disc dogs, you need a great source to get your stuff from.... and Hero Disc USA is that place. They provide quality content and service, in a great and timely fashion. My GSD catches the frisbee and brings it right back. She never has a chance to just chew on the frisbee. There are huge scrapes and holes from her just catching it and we've only had maybe 4 sessions of frisbee. Absolutely does not hold up to large, strong dogs. I love the way they fly, but gonna stick to Jawz

Flies really well but, my little jack Russell corgi mix can render these unflyable after 4 or 5 throws. Hyperflite dog discs are far superior and really stand up to dog abuse. A Hyperflite Frostbite disc will last through 60+ throws before getting distorted but will still fly in its distorted form. Plus the Hyperflite disc is made from a softer plastic that is easier for your dog to latch onto. Somehow this softer thicker plastic takes dog abuse much better than the Hero Air.
