AIVN Calligraphy Set with 4 Color Inks, 12 Nibs, Pen Holder and Introduction Booklet

I almost was going to review this item poorly, but eventually I started to figure out how to better use the product. The nibs are difficult to figure out If you have only worked with cartridge or refillable pen types previously. (including fountain & calligraphy pens) There is not great instruction on how to properly dip the nibs into ink, or how to properly switch each nib in/out of wooden pen. Careful if you have ink on nib & place into the holder to keep the pen upwrite... there is a hole on the bottom & the ink will drip through onto your expensive table if you do not have the wooden pen holder on top of any protected surface. Hopefully I can find additional sources to learn to use better... so far not so much luck. A positive, the package comes as pictured....

My 8-year-old is into drawing, and so is her friend. This set is keeping them entertained while practicing their writing and some ink drawings. Sure, the end result still looks like crap, but these things take time. There are a lot of nibs for practicing different stroke width. I'm not an expert on calligraphy writing utensils, but it does feel a bit flimsy. Certainly appropriate for a child practicing writing, though.

This pen is just what I have been looking for. The large selection of nibs makes it easy to choose exactly what I need for a selected project. It is excellent for writing Hebrew letters as well as English.

Two hands thumbs up for this great product.I am amazed by the quality of this lovely calligraphy set.I am beginner and it made it so much easy to practice. I've tried couple of other sets too, but this one is the smoothest one in all. Smoothness gives you feeling of love and attachment to your calligraphy. This is what I was missing with other sets. Totally worth trying!!

Like some other reviewers said before, the weight of the pen is lighter than what it would seem it should be. That said, as someone who is learning the skill of calligraphy writing, I find this to be a wonderful set to start off with. I'm still developing my craft, but I notice some nibs are easier to write with than others. Some also seem to keep ink longer than others. Overall, a beautiful, quality set for anyone who wants to get (or get back) into calligraphy.

I haven't tried out all the nibs yet (just the one that came already mounted), nor the brown ink, but the black ink is good and the lightweight wooden pen is very comfortable and easy to handle. The set comes nicely packaged in a sturdy-feeling storage box that should last for a long time (unlike other sets that come in flimsy cardboard or paper). I did have to cut one of the two elastic rings that holds the pen in place in order to remove it, so, as there isn't an indentation for the pen to rest in, it isn't very secure in the box. Not a big issue, as mine won't be getting tipped over, but still a bit annoying. If the liner were able to be lifted out this problem could be avoided, but it must be glued down or something, and I didn't want to damage it. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality for the money.

Updated review. I initially had a defective set of nibs. The seller sent me a replacement quickly. This one works great. For the price I am very happy. I would highly recommend this set for a beginner in caligraphy. I especially like the black ink. It's not what I would consider project quality, but it's great.

I got this set because in a move some of my nibs were lost and I had no idea what would fit my old holder. Sadness. I REALLY like the feel of this holder, and the nibs are good quality. I think people who gave this item a negative review didn't give the nibs an initial cleaning.

I bought this for my son, this is his second pen like this and he has said this one holds inks so much better he can write quite a bit without having to dip for more ink

好みのペン先は使用頻度に偏りか出てしまいますが何も書き味は充分ですね。私は2種類のサイズを気分や相手により変えて書いています。スペアにもうひとセット購入しようかな。
