Works well. Adds enough volume to my thin, fine hair. No smell. Easy to work with.

THIS IS BETTER THAN MANY OTHER VOLUMIZING HAIR PRODUCTS I HAVE TRIED FOR MY BABY FINE AND THINNING HAIR. IT ONLY TAKES A TINY BIT ON THE ENDS OF MY FINGERS ON ONE HAND THEN RUB THEM WITH FINGER TIPS ON OTHER HAND AND APPLY TO HAIR FROM ROOTS TO ENDS. IF YOU USE MORE THAN JUST A LITTLE YOUR HAIR WILL FEEL GREASY/SLICK AND NO VOLUME WILL BE NOTICED. APPLY AFTER SHAMPOOING AND CONDITIONING AND TOWEL DRYING. I LET MY JAOR AIR DRY FOR 3-4 MINUTES THEN BLOW DRY USING A ROLLER BRUSH. LOTS OF VOLUME. MY HAIR IS SHORT- NOT A NECKLINE BY ANY MEANS, BUT JUST BELOW JAW LINE LENGTH AND IS NOT LAYERED. IF THAT HELPS.

This stuff is like voodoo magic. I have ridiculously fine and porous hair that gets weighted down easily by hair product, even those that are supposedly the holy grail for fine hair. I am not sure why I bothered trying yet another one, but I am so glad I did! It's heat activated, so I dried my hair upside down for a bit, using fingers to add light tension and hold roots out and away from scalp while drying. Then finished by styling as usual. Hair was not crunchy, had hold but still lots of natural movement, and didn't appear to lose much volume throughout the day. Not only was the end result notably improved fullness, but it also helped tame the frizzies, which meant less time with the straight iron and less silicone-based finishing smoother in my hair to weight it down again [Note: If your hair likes to frizz like it's trying to win a million dollar prize for frizziest hair on the planet, then give TIGI's Bed Head After Party a try.] For reference, my hair is cut in an angled bob with the back slightly above collar level and the front almost touching the collar bone. But I have the same struggles regardless of whether my hair is long or short, so this will likely also work in longer porous hair. (I keep saying porous because it's really a thing...especially if you are a red head and have wondered if your hair is actively trying to sabotage you every time you pull the hair dryer out.) I think it would also work for non-porous hair...probably even better, since your hair won't drink it up like you've just been on a 3-day bender in the desert.

I am usually disappointed by hair care products, but not this time. Not only does it give my fine limp hair body, it leaves it shiny. It's not stiff or heavy. Just bouncy and clean.

I like the root boost better - it has a cleaner volume

Very light while giving fantastic heat protection. Does not weigh down my hair, and helps keep my hair sleek without being flat. I find that this also keeps my hair from “sticking together”, giving it a feathery light feel. I use this with the Kenra platinum spray (spray first, gel on top) and it’s the best combo I have ever used for my platinum blonde hair. A little goes a long way, I use no more than one pump on my medium/long hair. It’s worth the price because it doesn’t take a lot of product to get the results you want. I don’t have a lot of pictures of just my hair, but you can see the volume and texture. This is with no hairspray and only the volumizing gel and kenra platinum blowout spray.
