Great beginner yarn
This was the yarn I used on my first official knitting project, a kid's scarf. It was easy to work with, and the color of the Rocky Mountain style made it super easy to see the stitches. Before I knew it, I was already done with my project. Even using higher gauge needles, the product came out great and will definitely be warm and soft for the wearer. In fact, the 2 year old I made it for wore it all the way home and until she went to bed that night. I've ordered more yarn in a different color for a throw I'm going to make. The yarn is soft, warm, and comfortable but above all else, very easy to work with for beginners like myself.

Very fuzzy and unpleasant feeling
I don't usually write reviews but after receiving this yarn, I felt it warranted one. I wish I would've listened to the review referring to this yarn as having a mohair look. It's so fuzzy, I can't really do anything with it, amd it has a very unpleasant feel. It doesnt even have a slightly soft feel to it. My daughter insisted on trying it because she loved the "mermaid" colors. For $10 a skein, I was very unhappy with it.

Loved the colors - puzzled by project...
I've been crocheting off and on for many years (since I was a little girl), but never really bothered to learn to read patterns - mostly just making throws and afghans for the fun of it. Saw this yarn and couldn't resist - loved the bright colors. After a couple of false starts, settled on single-crochet stitch, created a trapezoid shape, seamed the like sides, turned inside-out, rolled up a brim - and voila! - cute little hat. Okay, so it wasn't what I thought I would do when I started out, but as Bob Ross used to say - a happy little accident. :) If you are going to make more than one item - or one bigger than a hat or scarf - you'll need more than one skein. Loved the chunkiness and the colors. Would recommend - especially to someone who has more technical knowledge about what they are doing. :)

Most likely better for knitting blankets then hats and slipper socks.
I thought this was a wool blend yarn, I didn't realize that it was all acrylic. All acrylic would be good for knitting blankets. I was knitting socks and hats. I knitted a pair of slipper socks because I didn't know how this yarn would turn out for slipper socks unless I tried it. The yarn knitted into a really cool design, but my husband said these socks are not as warm as the wool-blend slipper socks that I made for him. Therefore, my husband doesn't wear the acrylic slipper socks because he always reaches for his wool-blend slipper socks first.

and they turned out amazing! I'm not a super crafty person
I "hand" knit scarves for all the ladies in my life this past Christmas with all the different Mountain themed colors available, and they turned out amazing! I'm not a super crafty person, but this seemed like a high quality yarn, and the colors are amazing. If I continue on this path to becoming crafty and want to try more projects involving yarn I would definitely use this brand again.

This is probably rug weight yarn
My error. It is already chunky and then two strands are sort of wrapped around each other. But not all the way. Sometimes they just parallel each other, so does not make for uniform knitting. I ripped out three projects I started on. I am currently separating the two strands to make two balls of yarn. The individual strands are nice and thick, but not very strong. While wrapping the ball, I accidentally tore a strand apart. The good news is that it can easily be spliced. The three stars are because I love the colors. Very Vibrant.

Rocky Mountains inspired yarn
This nice, thick and bulky yarn was used to make my first crocheted piece. While I will not say what it looked like, I will say it was easy to work with. The weight and the finished product were beautiful. The randomness of the colors made it appear as though I used different yarns to make the piece. It was cheery and bright but I underestimated the amount of skeins it would take to finish the product. I make better estimates now. This is not a soft yarn and it is not for use in baby blankets. It is not nearly soft enough for that. It is good for cheering someone up. Hard to be sad with colors like that. Beautifully done but the price can be problematic. Acrylic yarn and comes with care instructions for you to pass on to the person you are making things for. Good for mittens, hats and scarves. For an adult sized blanket be prepared to order at least 12 skeins.

Good quality and just plain pretty!
This is a nice thick yarn and excellent for someone with low vision or just starting out with needle crafts. The colors are as pictured and the yarn is of the good quality I expect from this brand. I have not yet washed it- but based on how it handles while working I expect it to wash and dry just fine- there is no indication of excessive shedding or any other cause for concern about durability. Definitely soft enough for things like a scarf that would come in contact with one's face.
