Great book! Loved it.

I am just getting in to reading. Love Disney. I love how this book tells me a back story on how things came to be that makes sense.

Brilliant stand alone even better all series if in ORDER. Order is very important or confusion will happen. ODD SISTERS LAST (spoilers) it wrecks 1-5 other wise

I know these are essentially fan fiction, but I found this very, very clunky and not at all in keeping with the original film. The friendships and prior relationships between characters seemed unlikely and forced. There is a real lack of willingness to allow villains to be villains, albeit sympathetic ones. I find the invention of the sisters to be a cheap way to justify villainy, where an acknowledgement that sometimes people are a bit selfish and not squeaky clean would be better. It's actively shying away from grey characaters and falling back on the simplified good and evil/black and white which by the title you'd think the books are trying to get away from.I found the use of language annoying too, phrases like, blow a gasket do not belong in a 18th century setting.I read a lot of children and young adult literature and I am not sure where this would fit in to be honest.

Amazing! Beauty and the best is my favourite child hood film so to read this was fantastic I stared it Monday and finished tuesday night ( just finished and writting this!!) Its amazing I couldnt put it down I've bought a few of these books so can wait to start another one tomorrow and I've just donated it to the nurses in the cancer ward looking after my daughter for them to now read it too!! Amazing defo recomend every one to buy it!!

Taking a story and then giving a twist on the version people know and love is something that sounds like a risky business but thankfully Disney has been able to find the right authors to deliver on these tales and provide readers with an excellent selection of books and this one is up there as one of the best reads so far. Well worth checking out.

Only just started to read this recently but very good I love Disney and anything about it
