Porto Sippers, Hand-Blown S/4

These cute little port sippers are just that - very small. But 'normal' port glasses are much smaller than a wine glass anyway, since port is meant to be sipped and savored, not drunk like wine (pun intended). They are extremely fragile, so use great care when hand washing them. They are so much fun to bring out when guests are enjoying delicious port - laughter fills the house when jokes are being made about what these look like. It is amazing how the taste of port is changed when drinking from these vs. drinking from a regular port glass or even from a wine glass - do a taste test and you'll notice the difference, too. Definitely cute conversation pieces. Shipping was quick and efficient as usual, and they were packaged with care - no issues and no breakage. I'm giving some as gifts to friends with bottles of my homemade port wine - I'm betting they'll be just as entertained with them as I have been.

I love the elegance of these glass servings although I wish they were larger in size.

From the pictures, these glasses look perfect for any wine drinker. However, when we received the item, we were disappointed to learn they're slightly larger than a shot glass. (Another reviewer showed a photo of these glasses next to a credit card, which gave a much better sense of scale.)The glasses sit on tiny feet, which makes them seem very delicate.In my opinion, these glasses are too small and delicate for the average wine drinker. On the other hand, if you're looking for a shot glass of wine to sip, then these could be right for you.

Small things come in good packages. These four sippers came wrapped in bubble wrap and separated by cardboard/Styrofoam. As others have said these are tiny, much tinier than I expected. Think shot glass, but smaller. Like a really large sewing thimble. A normal glass of wine would probably fill 6 of these. And they do seem kind of delicate. But not in a bad way. Like intentionally designed to enhance the experience. Like a champagne flute. That kind of makes them "special event" glasses which works if you are not a regular dessert wine drinker. I game them as a hostess gift and they loved them! They actually went out and bought some port wine the next day to try them out. My Dad even used one to sip a shot of vodka. Something about them makes you want to try them. As an added bonus it is fun to watch someone drink from them. Looks like they are smoking a pipe.

Arrived on time and was packaged well. All but 1 of the 4 look great. Top edge not smooth and round as the others. I will keep them as it is not a gift and I hate doing returns.

I bought these as a present for a friend, and they are gorgeous! They are a little smaller than expected, but they are still really cool and seem well-made. The glass is thinner, so they are what I would call delicate, as many other reviewers mentioned, but that is not a bad thing if you ask me. They are very interesting pieces, bought as a supplement to the Oenophilia Porto Decanter, which does come with some sippers as well. The person who received the gift loved these and was very excited to receive them.

These are quite nice but very very small and very fragile. They are very easily tipped over given the smallness and narrow base with two little feet and then they rest on the stem. I do not trust them to stand up so you really have to very gingerly handle them. They also hold about two ounces of liquid. A typical port glass (think dessert wine glass) holds about five ounces and etiquette dictates it should only be half full when drinking port. I was a bit disappointed overall (I paid $20 which was overpriced for what they are, but I see now that they are around $12 which is about right). They are fine for port sipping but you really must be very careful as they could easily be tipped over when filling them and you don't want to spill a glass of $80 port or break one of your set. I may break these out occasionally in the future but will be more likely to use my regular port glasses than these sippers.

these arrived right on time. they are super cute and nothing was broken ny the delivery. yes, they are small. if youre buying something, read the description. i knew they were small so they were exactly as imagined. they are about a "double shot" size... maybe a triple. of course they are fragile, they are glass. dont be an idiot. people who are complaining of it being fragile shouldve known.. its a small glass, itll break easily. i havent used yet since its a xmas gift but i cant wait!!

If you like port; these are THE sippers to enjoy it even more. The glasses are tiny (and are supposed to be) and delicate but they are equally terrific. The packaging is good so no fear of breakage in transit. These would also make a lovely gift.

lots of differing opinions online on wether this actually makes your port taste better; I couldn't tell a difference but I'm no expert. They are, however, really cool and make a fun novelty gift. We got them for 4 of our friends and all loved them.
