Precision of cutting...the reason that I wanted this particular unit...did not disappoint. Unlike most bulky personal groomers with , it is extremely easy to see where the head of the trimmer is during personal grooming (i.e. beard). If not for the issues below, I would have rated it a '5' based on this fact alone.This is a well built unit. Right out of the box, I could tell that it would be a rugged piece of equipment. However, my enthusiasm was curbed within 30 seconds of turning it on. It vibrates. When I say that it vibrates, I mean that it shakes like an impact wrench trying to break free a bolt that's seized. No...I'm not exaggerating. I read several reviews before I purchased it that essentially said the same thing. I don't know how a barber could use this thing all day...even if it's only for bursts of 1-3 minutes. For that reason, I would rate it a '3'...as far as being a "professional" piece of equipment.Another complaint that many reviews touched on...it heats up...fast. With the trimmer on for less than three minutes, it had already started to heat up to the point that it was bordering on being uncomfortable to hold.I have two clippers and one other trimmer. None of those are of the same quality that this one is. However, none of those vibrate as badly or heat up. Am I happy that I bought this product? Yes. It provided a level of precision for grooming that no other trimmer I've used could accomplish. That being said, I would keep in mind that: 1. It will vibrate a LOT...as pretty much every review said, and 2. It will heat up quickly.If you're an individual looking for a trimmer to round out your grooming equipment, this is a good choice.
