Car AUX In Adapter 3.5mm jack & USB Y Cable Compatible with for IPX X/Xs Max/8/7/7 Plus o Interface Power Cord (39")

I bought this as a temporary workaround for a BMW Mini which has the USB and 3.5mm mini jack requirement for aux in sound. If you connect a standard lightning cable to one of these head units, you get the display, but no sound.So this is supposed to "split" the data and sound from the lightning output of the iPhone. My wife and I both have iPhone XRs but I tried it on an older iPhone too. Just nothing, not even a data/display connection.There is a big fold out (like a map) 'support sheet' that has a ton of things to try "if it doesn't work" (I should have been suspicious at this!) which I dutifully followed. When I got to the one which suggests I "use another phone" I calmly folded it all back, repackaged it up and returned it.I bought it as it's a fraction of the cost of the genuine BMW mini cable, but there's little point if it's so flaky. Either get the BMW one, or get CarPlay (which is what I've done).

Works with the usb for music without the aux (weird ) just go to bm as a waste of cash I had high hopes for this after my puppy chewed the original bmw wire that allowed me to charge, listen to music change song via the central button. Anyway don’t waste cash maybe will work on older I have a 13 plate one series none of the re made accessories work on by official that’s the only down side to a BM stick to old corsa lol

Really pleased with this cable for my mini - I have been trying all sorts to get my iPod working in my car and this has now solved the problem

Used in BMW 320d 14 plate. Worked perfectly to charge an IPhone X and play music at the same time via the in car aux option (does not allow for control of the phone via the car as my BMW doesn’t have the add on)Worked perfectly first time and reliable

Arrived quickly. Was good quality. Had a few problems making it work.

Was delivered quickly but didn’t work properly. The charge was flicking on and off constantly and the sound quality through the speakers was terrible. Returns process was quick, simple and efficient.

Aux lead will only play through one speaker
