This is probably one of the best accessories for a desk. It's got a usb hub that supports up to 3 usb on the side, believe or not but I have all three used up and wished there were more but 3 is great enough due to split of power sharing. It's a phone holder on the side and the cup holder. The installation was done with ease, it was more like 1,2,3,4 step. I love that you can have the cup hold and phone holder on opposite side or you can have them both on the same side, I use them on the same side allowing free flow not the usb side. It is well designed and the glass is great quality. It helped me organize my desk with mails, memory card, and laptop, external drive and keyboard. I wanted to to get white but most of my stuff was in black so I just went with black, if most of your stuff are black on your desk then go with black too. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

I've been using the UBOARD SMART for almost 3 months and it's great! Very easy to put together, it's been a sturdy and reliable support for my computer monitor. I have a two glass top desks angled slightly apart from each other, the UBOARD covers part of each desk and the space between - it is very steady, it doesn't slip or slowly wiggle out of place, and I love the extra desk space I have because of it. My mug doesn't quite fit in the cupholder, but I just put a coaster on top of it and it's worked great. The side USB ports are also very useful and help me quickly set up my workspace with everything I need - I have a surface pro that I transfer between school and home frequently, and with the UBOARD's ports I can leave things like the a phone charger and the wireless keyboard dongle in place - very convenient!

Upon buying this I was worried about the product I may receive with all the other reviews I read. First off, yes, all you're getting is a pane of glass and few pieces of plastic. It comes packaged really well in foam. Instructions were beyond easy, I didn't use them. I've had this for along while and it still holds up with no problems.I do wish it was a little higher, but that is a personal thing. I also wish had the option of swapping around the sides so I could have the USB ports on my right instead of the left. Personal thing again. I didn't bother to use the cup holder or the iPod/iPhone holder. Since I don't have those Apple products nor do I drink anything other than water(in a jug) at my computer.I gave the USB ports a few runs to see if they worked or not. They performed as you'd expect a USB hub to. It was recognized in Windows 7 and various other flavors of Linux with no problems. Should work with OSX since that is who this company is mainly targeting. Other than that, I do not use the USB ports on this and opted out of having the board's USB plugged into my computer.It's a nice clean little item. Wish they would not advertise so much for OSX. Wish you could swap the sides around and wish it was a little taller. I would and have recommended this item to others and people have asked me about it when they sat at my desk.

nice quality and look. the ports stopped working after a few weeks. the cupholder is also basically useless, it's too small for any water bottle. Basically just for teacups or maybe cans which is not that practical.

I'm currently working on building my music studio and needed a riser unit for my iMac. I saw the uBoard and was immediately impressed by the product images, both on amazon and the uBoard site. I received the uBoard, unpackaged it, set it up - and it's good! Really good. "Sleek" Good. It fits perfectly within the desk space. It gives just enough vertical space for my M-Audio Keyboard to rest comfortably underneath. The additional USB slots give extra space to plug in extra peripherals (in my case, USB ignition keys for my music software.)Also, the drink holder and iPhone holder are nice touches to an already excellent product. I rate it 5 stars because I really wish that I had something like this years ago. It's quality product. It's innovative, and increases my desk space while looking good.

So to begin upon initially opening the box you will notice each item is to be assembled. Screws and caps for screws are provided. Be very careful when screwing the glass into place as the screws will continue through the threading on the two side pieces and then crack the under portions of the stand. Seems as though this could be sold for $5 and still turn a 100% profit because of how cheaply the pieces are forged. Also I would under no circumstance use external hard drives for a long period of time as this device tends to transfer at very slow speeds. The only reason I kept this was because it has a more unique look than others. I would welcome anyone with recommendations!! Only purchase if you want it for the look, it serves no other purpose meaningfully.

You should ignore their stated weight specs. I purchased the white version of this for my iMac 27 and the stand bowed in noticeably at the center. It looked like it might break.. so I returned it.The build quality is not great, either.For smaller lighter products, it's probably fine. But if you're looking for something for your big beautiful iMac 27, look elsewhere. I definitely would not trust this product to support one.

I'm an online college student and I have very little desk room to carry out my work. I stumbled upon this product and thought it would be great for typing while I had one of my textbooks on top of the uboard so I could type and use the textbook at the same time. I gave this product five stars because it works great for my needs, and looks great. The only thing that I slightly disliked is that the uboard was a little to low for my taste so when I first started typing it was kind of frustrating since my hand would hit the bottom of the glass every now and then, however, with some practice I learned to type quickly with not glass striking. If you do want the uboard to be higher there are many ways to make it higher by staking thing under the uboard like Styrofoam, paper, plastic objects, its a time to be creative. I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in an uboard; it is a great product and does not take up much room on your desk like other uboards I have tried. This uboard is the way to go I am very happy with mine.

Schon nach wenigen Minuten der Nutzung habe ich mich gefragt, wie ich vorher ohne zurecht kam. So sieht die Lösung eines Problems aus.Den Handy- bzw. Smartphone-Halter kann man - wie auch bereits schon von anderen geschrieben wurde - mit einem flachen Smartphone (z.B. iPhone 5s) nicht bedenkenlos nutzen. Die Gefahr, dass das Telefon kippt und auf den Schreibtisch knallt, ist groß und real. Mit einem kleinen Trick kann man das Zubehör auch für iPhone nutzbar machen. Ich habe einen schmalen Streifen selbstklebendes Gummiband (ähnlich den beiliegenden runden Gummifüßen, nur länglich), das ich von einem anderen Produkt aufgehoben hatte, in den Halter geklebt. Damit ist der Abstand des Halters enger und das iPhone kann nicht mehr kippen. Tipp für den Hersteller: Diesen Centartikel zukünftig beilegen. Statt vier runde Gummifüßchen könnte man auch sechs oder acht Stück nehmen und zwei bzw. vier dann für den Handyhalter verwenden. So könnte man den Halter für etliche Smartphones nutzbar machen.Der Becherhalter ist für mich persönlich ein Gimmick und ich werde ihn wohl anderweitig nutzen. Die neben der Aussparung (Durchmesser 73mm) für den Becher befindlichen fünf "Kiemen" lassen sich schön als Memo- oder Visitenkartenhalter verwenden. Auch DINlang Briefe bleiben darin stehen. Bei wenig Postaufkommen evtl. eine sinnvolle Zwischenablage. Handelsübliche Duftkerzen im Glas passen zwar exakt in den Becherhalter, man sollte aufgrund der Erwärmung des Glases diese Nutzung jedoch nicht in Betracht ziehen. Mit einem kleinen Trick kann man den Halter "bestimmungsungemäß" sinnvoll nutzen. Ein nicht mehr benötigtes Mousepad im Durchmesser des Becherrings ausschneiden und damit den offenen Boden des Becherhalters (Durchmesser 53mm) verschließen. Dann z.B. das schnurlose Telefon reinstellen. Die runden magnetischen Büroklammerhalter (z.B. von arlac®) passen übrigens perfekt rein.Schön ist, dass man den Handy- und Becherhalter nicht zwingend nutzen muss. Einfach nicht montieren (wird nur eingesteckt) oder wieder ausstecken, wenn es nachträglich stört.Bei der Nutzung der USB-Ports konnte ich keine Probleme (wie von anderen beschrieben) feststellen. Das hängt bei USB immer an unterschiedlichen Faktoren, wie der verwendeten Software (Betriebssystem und auch Anwendersoftware) und dem USB-Port des Computers, an den das UBoard angesteckt wird. Ich werde aber diesen Punkt weiter beobachten und ggfs. meine Bewertung ergänzen.FazitIch habe auf meinem UBoard zwei Tischtelefone und reize die Gewichtsgrenze somit nicht aus. Die stabile Konstruktion lässt aber sicher auch viele andere schwerere Nutzungen, wie z.B. Monitor, zu. Meine Tastatur ist rasch unter der Ablage und ich gewinne in einer Sekunde viel freie Arbeitsfläche ohne die Tastatur gänzlich "verschwinden" zu lassen. Das minimalistische Design fügt sich perfekt in mein modernes Arbeitsumfeld ein. Im Vergleich mit anderen Boards, die zum Teil ganz aus Plastik sind, erhält man beim UBoard ein schickes und stabiles Produkt für sein Geld.

Looks much nicer in person that in pictures. Definitely worth the price. I took off one star because the cut holder is pretty flimsy and not useable...not a big deal as I didn't need a cup holder.
