Bio-D (4-Pound Pail) Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth

This is legitimate food-grade DE, completely safe for human and animal consumption. I have used DE to successful treat scabies, body lice, head lice, fleas, and rid myself and my pets of intestinal parasites! This stuff works wonders! After I got rid of the parasites I had, it even helped me to lose weight! Within 2 months of starting my DE I lost 20 pounds! My arthritic joints no longer hurt! For skin treatment or scabies/body lice, make a paste about the consistency of peanut butter out of DE and organic, cold-pressed Grapeseed oil and apply the mixture twice daily. Mixing it with oil prevents the DE from drying out the skin. For head lice, wear a mask or damp washcloth over your face and rub the DE straight into your scalp and sleep with it in. Repeat after 7 days to kill any newly hatched lice and be sure to use a nit comb to get rid of the eggs! For pets, just rub some DE straight into their fur and sprinkle it on carpets and then vacuum well the following day to get rid of fleas. When taking internally, take 2 tablespoons mixed with half a cup of water twice daily. Drink 2-3 liters of water daily so you don't get dehydrated! For me, my stomach hurt badly for about 2 days, then I had a bowel movement and was surprised to see the toilet full of worms mixed in with my bowel movement! I have continued taking DE ever since because I don't want to ever go through that again. My stomach never hurts anymore! When I had internal parasites I was constantly famished and had chronic diarrhea for 5 years! I was overweight and no matter what I just could NOT get rid of the weight! I also had severe acne, boils, and other blemishes all over my body. DE has without a doubt changed my life! You can even make a paste out of it with water and apply it to acne. Works great for bed bugs and fleas..sprays don`t do anything..i found using Diatomaceous Earth is really the only way to get rid of them..after just one application ,they will begin to die..sometimes with in a few hours to a day or two..once they get the Diatomaceous Earth on them ,their history..their body begins to dry out and then dies..its also excellent for human and animal consumption..its has alot of health benefits..it works great for allergies..i have all year round allergies ,so i mix the DE in with my hot stinging nettle tea ,that i drink daily..when i first started taking the DE about a year ago ,i began to feel alot better after three or four days..allergy medications don`t do much for me ,so i`m very happy i discovered it..i wouldn`t be able to live with out it..i have also mixed it in my dogs can food for about a year now..she`s 15 years old ,so she was really starting to slow down..probably due to aches and pains..but like me ,after a few days she started to move around more easily and didn`t seem to be so tired all the time..for the fleas ,i sprinkle the DE on her and let it stay on her for about an hour or two and then give her a bath to wash it off..the best part of the DE is ,if she tries to like it off ,it won`t hurt her at all..its 100% safe..

My brother and I were looking for a non-chemical deterrent for ants and other household bugs. We have two cats and were hesitant to use sticky traps and/or harsh chemicals around them. I did a Google search and FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous earth came up. Make sure it is FOOD GRADE because it is all natural and not harmful to people or animals. People actually eat this stuff and claim that it has real health benefits. I've only used it for bug control though. I spread it around the border of my house every so often and spread it around my cave of a basement and the results have been amazing. The stuff is like microscopic razors to bugs. When it gets on them, it severely damages their exoskeleton and their insides dry up after a few hours. We still see an occasional critter, but for the most part, our bug problems have been solved. We have seen ZERO ants in our house since we started using it (Last summer). It works just the same for fleas and bed bugs also. Pretty much any bug. If there is one con, it's that it can be messy if used indoors. Just stick to out of the way places if that's a concern. Moisture will hurt it's effectiveness also, so you'll have to spread it again it when it gets wet.

Wow, I'm shocked! I just received this today, it came early, thanks Amazon and seller! My indoor only cat caught some fleas from somewhere, she's the only furry pet in the house right now. I guess we tracked them in from outside. So understandably, we didn't want to believe that her constant annoying scratching was due to fleas biting her. Well, we found out when we ran a flea comb through her fur, there it was, a flea! However nothing was bothering us, and usually if you get fleas, they tear up your ankles! I haven't had a pet with fleas in about 10 years or more! But we did just move to a woody area with a lot of wild life so maybe that's it. Well to get to the point hehe, today 3 hours ago, this DE was applied to the one big rug in the front room, and to the cat, and she is sleeping like a baby in wonderland! The scratching has just about stopped, she only scratched two times for a split second in over 2 hours! And before that she was scratching 5 or 6 times in a half hour! We spent a lot of money trying a lot of stuff, and even the Front line didn't work! We mopped, vacuumed, swept, washed all bedding ,bathed her in flea shampoo and yet still she scratched and licked more than usual! And it was driving us up the wall, and for her I guess it was even worse! This stuff must really work! I will update either good or bad to let you know how its going. Fingers crossed!

I use it for my garden!

Well, it does the job of controlling my IBS, and I get the same benefits as I did using other brands of DE - stronger nails, clearer skin, regulated bowel habits, absorption of toxins and pathogens. Unfortunately, I found it to have an unpleasant taste, and there's a lot of black grit left over in my glass/cup when I'm done. I've had no negative side effects from using this DE.
