This Indian style pith helmet, a.k.a. the Bombay Bowler, is the most popular pith helmet style in North America. These hats are made from the cork, or pith, of trees from northern Vietnam using techniques developed 100 years ago by the French during their occupation. The helmet is functional in both sunny and rainy weather. The crown measures 18cm high. The front and back brims measure 6.5cm and the sides at the 6cm. Due to the handmade nature of the Pith Helmets, please be advised that there may be some minor imperfections in the construction of the hat. These imperfections should not hinder the look or the wear of the helmet. Hat Sizing Info: Small/Medium adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 55 cm to 57 cm. Large/X-Large adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 58 cm to 61 cm.

I never write a review unless I am either extremely pleased or outraged with dissatisfaction.AMAZING product, worth my time to recommend. Unbelievable quality for the price considering the overall lack of demand.For general purpose i would give this 9/10 but with such a reasonable price its a definite 10!Delivery was prompt and easy, so much so that if i ever need to buy a hat again, I will first check to see if I can get it through Village Hats.One warning, I believe i have a relatively small head, and I wear the helmet on pretty much to limit of its looseness. If you know you have a very large head, maybe think twice before taking a gamble, maybe find one you can try on or order one of a different design and hope for the best.

The real deal for purpose and a head turner fashion wise
I am on medication that requires my being shaded from direct sunlight. Perfect for me and at my age I feel silly walking about in a baseball cap.I have purchased over six in the past few years and look forward to the day when under the rim green material is used to reduce the glare of the sun.

The hat is well made and very light and comfortable. It's much better than a panama hat for keeping your head cool.It's the best thing I've bought off the internet. How else would I have found one?I'm a very happy customer.

Excellent headware
Great head ware, very high quality and exactly as advertised on the web.. delivery was very prompt. Looking forward to using them in India, all be it keeping a weather eye for folk taking our pictures!!
