Tiger Balm Ultra Strength Pain Relieving Ointment Non-Staining 18 gm

My partner and I frequently use this because she has fibromyalgia, and I struggle with migraines. Works great and lasts a long time. Smell can be strong and I recommend not getting it too close to your eyes.

Tiger Balm was suggested to me by my rheumatologist, who said that some of his other patients had told him that it works. I decided to try it to determine if it would be useful to relieve pain in my knees and hip between visits to his office.Surprisingly, Tiger Balm worked extremely well with my first application. I used rubber gloves to apply it and rubbed it in well—into the same spots where other products, like pain patches and ointments, had been applied. I felt a slight warming sensation; smelled a strong, offensive odor; but received immediate relief in the areas where it had been spread. The odor dissipated after a few hours (I had probably used more than necessary) and the relief lasted the entire day. I was able to move around freely and normally.I am now a regular user and will keep Tiger Balm in stock, along with the large Tiger Balm ultra strength patches that I can stretch over my hip. The large, ultra strength patches also work well and can be cut to fit smaller areas. I have not used any regular strength ointment or patches and cannot vouch for those items.In terms of any negatives, I would note the following: (1) the wait time for use, before or after a bath or shower, is annoying; (2) the odor is off-putting (I now apply early so that I can wait an hour or two before leaving the house so that I will not offend anyone; and (3) the need for medical tape— for the patches that are applied to moving body parts, like knees or elbows, etc.—is bothersome. The pain relief received probably will outweigh the negatives that have been noted.

Works great, but does have a strong smell, and the jar is really tiny

This is a great fast pain reliever for knee, back, neck, and any body pain etc... Warms up and smells initially, but the scent dissipates quickly.

When your back hurts from many days in a row of hard work this is the best relief. Goes on greasy but doesn't stain like the original. Soaks in while you sleep and you wake up feeling better and moisturized. Cheap and last a long time. The size might be small but you don't use a lot in a dose to coat your whole back you only need a couple finger sized dobs. It goes a long way. I've used this brand for like 20 years for sore muscles. It melts pain away but be prepared for the abundant aroma it'll fill your room with the smell of pain relief ointment. It's not a bad smell it's pleasant to me personally but if keeping your pain ointment regiment to yourself is important this product will let your whole household know you're in pain with the pleasant but strong aroma.

Because the container is small I advise your customers to use some type of applicator tool. Placing one’s finger into the small opening repeatedly wastes product. Overall the Balm does provide some pain relief, just like any other ointment it has a time frame. However, I would recommend it over many others, including prescription ointments. It has a minty smell, it’s sticky, you should let it sit a little time before covering so it doesn’t stick to clothing, however, overall very effective.
