Louisville Ladder 3-Foot Fiberglass Platform Step Ladder, 300-Pound Load Capacity, Type IA, FXP1703

I needed a ladder that was better for working in the house near the ceiling. This is a heavy-duty ladder that puts me right where I need to be for a 9-foot ceiling. It shipped in the world's largest box but it arrived undamaged. I was happy to find this ladder because most of the offerings locally were either too tall or just not heavy duty enough. This ladder is built to last and having a platform to stand on is very nice.

Ladder arrived in good shape. Excellent quality and very sturdy. I use it regularly for changing light bulbs, painting, cleaning windows, and other odd jobs around the inside and outside of the house. Very sturdy footing and the platform is large enough to work from with a high enough hand rail for balance. I would definitely buy this again, but doubt I will ever need to replace it.

The ladder is great. Very high quality. Love it. It''s exactly what I needed and couldn't find at Lowe's, Menard's or Home Depot.But when it arrived today, it was filthy. The entire ladder was covered in black grime from top to bottom that appears to have been accumulating over a long period of time. Photo attached.It's a ladder. I expect it to get dirty and banged up over time. AFTER I buy it. I can't even use this thing inside a house until I clean all the greasy, black grime off. That's going to take a while because it's not coming off easy.

The ladder is very stable, appears to be strong and is a great value. My only complaints are that it is "stiff" to open and close and it's a little heavier than I thought it would be. But those are only minor issues.

Fantastic ladder, none better

We have a 14 foot ceiling and this ladder really does the trick for any project. It is much safer than an extension ladder because of the platform, which provides ample space to move. The top has small tool storage and is magnetic for screws etc. this is a great value for the price. It is also relatively lightweight. My husband can easily carry but he did need a little help maneuvering because of the length.

Absolutely the best ladder I've owned. Super comfortable and reduces vertigo-related stress when working directly overhead. If you have a house with 10' ceilings and need to do any maintenance tasks such as light bulb and a/c filter changes, buy this now and throw away or donate your old ladder. I do wish it had a dedicated hammer hanger in-addition-to the center cordless drill holder/socket. Nothing my tool belt wont resolve, but would be a nice addition.

The Louisville ladder I received is a fine product. I have no complaints with the product. In fact the ladder is sturdy and even my 12 year old son felt very secure standing with his feet 7'7" above the ground. The platform and three side guard rail really make working at heights easier and less stressful.That being said, at the time of purchase the title to this item's listing stated the following"Louisville Ladder 8-Foot Fiberglass Pro Extended Rail Platform Ladder, 375-Pound Capacity, Type IAA, FXP1708".That description is inaccurate. The IAA rated version of this ladder has "HD" at the end of it's product number as well as a 36" handrail height. The ladder I received was only IA rated for 300 lbs. with a 30" handrail height. The product I received was the following:Product No.: FXP1708Duty Rating: Type IALoad: 300Based on what I see at the Louisville ladder website these ladders come in three variations1. "FXP170* (* = nominal platform height in feet) IA Rated for 300 Lb. Load and a 30" guard rail height (that's what this item listing is actually shipping as of April 2019)2. "FXP170*XL (* = nominal platform height in feet) IA Rated for 300 lb. and a 36" extended guard rail height.3. "FXP170*HD (* = nominal platform height in feet) IAA Rated for 375 lbs. and a 36" handrail height standard.I hope the sellers correct the incorrect information. Until then, this is a great ladder but make sure you're ordering what you need!
