Purchased for a home made squirrel feeder to hold pickle jar in place while allowing easy removal. This spring does the job. Pros: Easy to install Includes 4 spring hinges Cons: Spring action not very strong Although this hinge works for my application, I ended up using a bungee cord to secure jar to my feeder because squirrels kept knocking the jar out of place. The spring tension is enough to keep jar secure but not enough to hold up to the squirrels. For other applications it may be fine. Overall I’m please with the product and would recommend.

I used these for a project that I wasn’t quite sure how it was going to turn out. The quality of these is great. Yes … my project turned out perfectly. It’s what I do with the help of these products.

They are okay but dont spring close as fast as i though and also we the exact same size as other 2in hinges that i got at Home depot they were off a bit but they work okay...3/5

There is barely any spring force with these. Dont expect them to do anything except to start to pop open a swing out door. These definitely could not lift anything like a flip up cabinet door. These are no replacement for even the smallest gas struts. If you have a small panel on the ground plane all 4 of these could maybe lift open a small 1/2" panel that is about 6" square and weights less than 2 ounces. Anything more than that and these are worthless.

It works for the purpose it is intended for. The product price, is comparatively quite expensive, however this is an imported product besides I have looked around in the hardware stores across Mumbai and even in Crawford market. You don't get hinges of 1.5 with a spring. You either get 1.5 inch hinge without spring or a much bigger hinge with a spring. Neither of these suited my purpose. So I had no choice but to pay the extra buck for these. All said and done, they work as intended.
