1.5M Red Cloth Tape Measure Retractable Body Tape Measure

I have several of these. I'm getting ready to order some more for my sewing friends. They are very light weight and slip into your purse easily. I was perplexed by the other reviews. I compared and confirmed the accuracy on the inch measuring side against two other products, one from clover and the other from the tool department at Sears. You can't beat the price for something so convenient to carry and use. I'll update this review after I receive the new ones regarding their accuracy.******Review update*****I was so wrong. All of the new ones were marked about an inch and a half for every inch. They did make good gag gifts for my sewing friends. I asked for a refund which was quickly given.

OK: So I bought this & am just now getting around to using it (Too bad it is too late to now return it).But imagine my surprise when I measure my waist & instantly I am inches less than I was before.That's right: It is magic.. well really it is not. I put this up next to another ruler I had in the house because something looked off. & it was: When you put this up against a 12 inch ruler, this thing says it is only 9 inches.Who made this useless measuring tape? The same company that made the train with sqaure wheels on the Island of Misfit Toys?The only pro to this whole buying experience is the Centimeter side is accurate, So the Misfit who made this must have been a Metric user.Since I cant return it, I suppose I will keep it & play tricks on unsuspecting dieters. I can build them up & make them feel good about their inches loss, just to bring them down by telling them it was just a joke.

Well, it was nice for a moment when I put this piece of garbage to my waist and suddenly had lost 2 pant sizes. Then I realized that that the "inches" indicated by this tape measure are much larger than, you know, inches. Each "inch" on this measure is actually closer to 1.5 inches; yes, it is that far off the mark. I have no idea why on earth someone would have made this product this way, rendering it utterly useless.

Retracts just fine, but the inch side measurements are off. It measures roughly 1 1/4" for an actual inch. I know it's a cheap purchase but I can't see what purpose it would serve with the measurements off. I recommend you invest in something a little better.

The inch side of the tape is very poorly proportioned. According to this tape measure 33cm is equal to 10 inches! (it should be equal to 13 1/8-ish) Dont get this if you need it for the inch side

It was for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter that "needed" one to help papa in garage and was a perfect size

Fits in my purse so I am never caught without one again!

numbers could be bigger or darker but for .88 good buy. 3.00 postage apox. though.
