Everything perfect rolled into one
I chose the rating of the book to be a five. Mostly because it's everything rolled into one. It's hilarious(totally witty), dramatic which is great for people like me, heartbreaking and hearthealing all at the same time.. and everybody needs to cry sometimes~everybody needs to smile sometimes, and romatical!!!! <3 I mean who doesn't love love! The other reason why I chose the book to be a five is because it relates to me. Same age same situation of wanting to fit in and bullies. I mean this book to me seems like it was written for me. I would recommend this book to people who need a good laugh, whose spirit needs to be rised, who are just looking for a good middle school story, and for someone who feels like their afraid and just feels like they don't fit in.

Always will be a favorite series of mine!
I read these books in middle school and gosh it’s just so relatable! I actually took some advice from Jamie Grimm and used jokes to deal with bullies throughout my middle school and high school years, it really helped me out a lot. I definitely recommend to give this book series a whirl, I can tell you that you will laugh, you will cry, and you’ll also learn a thing or two.Thank you James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein for all your hard work in writing this wonderful story, I definitely loved reading it.

My 8 and 9 year olds enjoyed it
I read this to my 8 and 9 year old boys. It was surprisingly sad in a way, but had a happy ending. I didn't find the jokes all that funny, and some of them my kids didn't get, but that didn't seem to affect their enjoyment.

One of the best books EVER!!! (for a lot of reasons!)
Jamie Grimm LOVES comedians! In his book, he has Billy Crystal, The Marx Brothers, Will Ferrell, Rodney Dangerfield, Chris Rock, Joan Rivers, etc. (I think I found 33 of them in the book, but I could be wrong.) He lives in Long Beach, NY, near the Boardwalk. (I’m jealous — I used to live in LawngIsland.) Jamie likes MATH! (believable or not). The bad news is that is family died, and Jamie uses a wheelchair. Plus he’s nervous and in school he sweats a lot.Jamie’s best friends are Gaynor and Pierce and some of Jamie’s other friends are Gilda Gold, Cool Girl and Mr. Burdkecki (like From Russia with Love!). Jamie’s Uncle Frankie who does the grill and does yo-yo at the same time! He can Hop the Fence, Walk the Dog, Loop the Loop, and go Around the World with one hand while flipping griddle cakes and two eggs over with the other. (For me, how about NEVER!) Once Uncle Frankie tells Jamie that in 1914 the boardwalk was built — with the help of ELEPHANTS! (I didn’t know that! COOL!!!)Jamie lives with The Smileys who never laugh, and one of them is a BAD GUY. Unfortunately, Jamie can’t climb the stairs. (I like the picture “Welcome to the HOUSE of PAIN”, but sad.)Anyhow, Jamie tries Comedy, and you can guess what happened (i.e. TROPHIES!).Chapters 60, 61, and 62 were CLASSIC! And Page 230, it says the word “bubelah”. What is it? Even wikipedia couldn’t find it.

I Laugh, I cry
My son, a fourth grader, and I read this book together each night before bed. We both loved it. He loved the bathroom humor - you know the farts, burps, and butt jokes that are so humorous at that age. And he also loved the serious side of the story. When Jamie tells "Cool Girl" about the horrific event that caused him to end up in a wheelchair, we both cried. When Jamie competes to be the funniest kid comic, we both laughed and cheered. I highly recommend this book. It helps children see the good and bad, the funny and tragic, while giving them a wonderful role model in the main character, Jamie.

Great book for 6th graders. I Funny, is deffinately funny.
Great book. Got it for 12 year grandson for school summer reading. Sometimes he would read out loud to me or me to him. I would laugh harder then he would. Also had great life lessons in it. Highly recommend.

Jamie Grimm-World's Funniest Book Comedian
I've gotta say. This was a pretty darn good book.It was very similar to Middle school: The worst years of my life, with pictures and the "unpopular people" telling the story. But, there is a HUGE difference in the plot.Jamie Grimm is just your average kid...in a wheel chair. He has few friends, (who are really caring for him) and loves to crack jokes. (Hence the name, I Funny.)If you enjoyed Middle School series, this one's for you. If you didn't, well, still read it. You'll come to love Jamie and his funny jokes.
