Great Soap!
I can't find Camay in any stores and I'm having to purchase it on line at Amazon for the price. I have a skin condition and Camay is mild and does not cause me to itch! Don't know what I would do if I couldn't find it to buy!Oh Yes! It's is also a great stain remover from blood, tomato sauce to grease/oil. Wet the bar. Rub it into the stain front and back. Run cold water over it and repeat. Then wash it normally in cold water. Check the stain before putting it in the dryer. If it doesn't clean it the first time, repeat the soaping process.

Slightly perfumed scent
I purchased this Camay after purchasing the Camay Classic Scented in the the hard box. The Classic scented had a chemical odor, not pleasant, this has a light perfume smell to it. I don't know if it is most like the original soap, its been a lot of versions later and a long time ago. If you don't want any perfume smell to the soap, then get the Class Scented in the hard box, if you want a slight perfume scent, then get this one.

Exceptional Soap!!
This soap is just as good as the Camay Classic that comes in the white box. It has a wonderful scent and has a creamy lather. This is wonderful soap!People keep complaining about this soap. They say it isn’t the same as the old Camay from the 40s-60s. I have several bars from 1953 and that fragrance people keep saying “takes them back” really smells terrible. This Camay fragrance is superior to the fragrance of yesteryear. Try it. You’ll love it!

Excellent Vegetarian Option
I have recently begun to seek out "international" versions of soap because, unlike their domestic counterparts, they are far less likely to contain animal byproducts. I assume this is related to the religious objections of target consumers. As other reviewers have pointed out, this is not quite the Camay of my childhood, but it does not contain sodium tallowate, which is soap made from rendered animal fat. While all-vegetable soaps are plentiful in the U.S., they are usually marketed to the "crunchy" crowd at inflated prices. This soap is an excellent, economical option for those who wish to avoid animal products.

Came promptly and as promised, although I am a little concerned about the quality due to it being produced out of the country. Will update after I have used this soap for a while.

Buyer Beware: "International" brand is not what you expect.
This is not the Camay product that has been sold in the U.S. for decades. The classic brand began to disappear from general availability several years ago (see: "When a Trusted Brand Disappears" By RICKI MORELL, NYTimes, November 30, 2010). Morell suggests CleaningProductsWorld.com. The Amazon offered soap felt wrong when I picked it up. I still had a bar of Classic so I was apple to compare.. This may be formulated for a specific kind of water. The smell is a bit acrid. The word "international" is on the packaging. This fact did not appear in the product description. If one has low vision it would be easy to miss the difference on the packaging until one uses a magnifier to examine the illustration. The soap did not come in box as depicted, just poorly wrapped plastic. If people know what they are getting, then is fine but the product description did not note a different formula. This was a misleading offering and will cause me to be more cautious in comparing the picture to the actual product at the Amazon site. This is Dollar Store technique that exploits people with poor vision or low literacy.

Different formula?
I liked the price and the package size of 12 bars. The label said "Camay Classic," and that is the soap we have been using for years, because my husband has an itchiness reaction to every other bath soap he has tried. Once the product arrived, I noticed that this particular Camay also has the word "International" on the label below the "Camay Classic" wording, and we could tell a difference. There seems to be something added to the formula that is not in the "old" Camay Classic we are used to, which seems always to come in a box, as opposed to the "wrapper" this product had around it. I will go back to the product we are used to, in the box, because the itchiness has returned! This "international" Camay Classic also is not as slippery smooth as the CamayClassic we are used to!
